The fact that faith healers are in churches as opposed to hospitals, tells you everything that you need to know.
@ccoder4953

That's the thing about faith healing. If it could be shown to work, even a little bit, hospitals would be among the first to adopt it. They might say well, it's a miracle from God, you can't test it by scientific means. Well, maybe we can't use science to tell HOW it works, but we can sure use it to tell IF it works. And if it worked, I can guarantee having a faith healer on site healing people would, even if they paid that faith healer a substantial salary, be something virtually any hospital would do. Just show that it actually works. Even a little (good studies can make out even small signals, as long as they are real and consistent).

Just for fun (and to cost Popoff money through international mail) I requested one of Popoff's 'miracle waters.' He sent several letters, each with some sort of 'gift' that I had to use in a special way, along with pages and pages of utter drivel about how I'm about to be rich and healthy. But interlaced with the positive were numerous threats of what would happen if I didn't send him money. Obviously, I didn't send him a cent, and my life hasn't fallen to pieces.

As a disabled person, I've had bad experiences with people who push faith healing. As a child, I was pressured to submit to prayers and people grabbing me/shaking me any time they took a notion to try for a miracle. Of course, I'm still disabled. I felt like I was always seen as incomplete/not good enough because I wasn't "healed". After putting up with this for some time, I finally told my mom not to take me for prayer anymore because it was negatively affecting my self-image.

Dear Jessica. First off iam sorry you had to deal with being disabled, I do not know in which way you are, but reading this I can imagine you would really like to be healthy and live life at its fullest. I think it is risky for pastors to organise such massive public healings because GOD does not want all of us to heal for sure, and we are kind off forcing him to act, however Jesus said to Satan « dont tempt GOD » and so we’re not being worthy to even pronounce his name. Iam gonna give you the opportunity to know GOD even if you feel he has done nothing, because if you don’t get close enough to him you will never know why he didn’t want such thing for you. I pray you can heal and get better 🙏

So I guess it can do all of that as well as cure me? Anyone reading this please PLEASE, read proper scientific studies or better yet talk to an actual doctor (not someone with a doctorate in woo) and be carful not to throw your money at these BS cures that are not only ridiculously expensive but can also be dangerous. This is why I thanked Thomas in the first place. People like me get prayed on every single day by people like you -say s#it like “just give it a go what’s the harm?” Well the harm is that your spending money on a product which doesn’t work. The harm is that with no scientific proof you have just suggested not only to me, but to anyone else who reads this comment that your woo works. It doesn’t. Also if anyone is wondering why I’m so angry… As a person with a disability it seems that it is impossible for me to tell anyone about my condition without them saying “oh, you should try (insert BS miracle cure here)”. Alison are you familiar with the healings that Christ performed? Most of his healings he made it so that all they who wanted healing only needed the faith the size of a mustard seed. It is the faith put into Jesus Christ that healed many. The blind man who had so much faith that Jesus would heal him only had to touch the bottom of Jesus garment and the blind man was healed. The mind is one of the most powerful things on the earth. Medical science says that the brain when at a certain level of belief can heal an illness you might have. I have read where people have healed themselves using a positive mind . Prayer also heals through men who are worthy enough. They use an oil or ointment that is blessed and put som on your head and a blessing is said. If you ask for the blessing then you are to believe the blessing and it's works.

The even greater tragedy is that these guys are the fairly incompetent scammers of the same ilk of charlatans. The medical cartel is way more successful in duping most of the world into their quackery. Back in "ancient" times they were called "Therapeutae" or priest-doctors, a word we need to revive in modern times...because they get you to ping-pong back and forth between the two groups forever seeking miracle cures until they've extracted all they can from you. Most people think doctors follow the scientific method (a laughable claim) when the truth is they are just a bunch of pill-pushing, salesmen for the pharmaceutical cartel. None of their medications are studied scientifically, no rational criteria is ever used, no controls, meaningless and arbitrary surrogate markers are employed,...its ludicrous. Cut-Burn-Poison, that's all the medical cult has in their arsenal. The duped masses then move on to these megachurch maniacs. Pitiful.

How is LGBTQ coming on the chopping block ? Why can’t men take responsibility for birth control?

Being a Christian I like that this video was made. I know plenty of people who say “you don’t have enough faith” or “God is mysterious” simply to avoid the facts in front of them. Paul himself wasn’t even healed. “Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.” 2 Corinthians 12:8-10

I agree. Sometimes, God doesn't heal. We should follow God for loving Him, not for the free miracles.
