It's a slap in the face because we have been to school. We are trying to get through. These people's passed with no experience. I am wondering who helped with the test. It's more going to come out. I have been called a maid, the aide in home health because some don't want to accept that our skin color made it through as well. This hurts to the core and again a slap in the face. I am still waiting to schedule my test. It is not made easy to register anymore like it was the first time I went to boards, but I have paid my money. It's my Season. I took ownership to my change. I will. I must. We all will past boards

I've just passed the NCLEX last week and I'm a graduated nurse from France. I shared the News and people keep sending news about the Nightgale operation, like I that where I get my licence. It took me 3years before I complete all the CGFNS requirements( send doc,contact my school in France and the french gov health department where I'm registered, plus passing the CGFNS test, taking advanced English class for the TOEFL, and finally get a chance to take the NCLEX). And now having to show all my credentials to everyone is very sad and make me upset BC God knows all the sacrifices I have done to get there!

@martinejean3578

How they become incompetent? What your mother used to do 50 years ago is not the same. These days the nurse have to know more than 50 years ago. Nurses are the backbone of the doctors. They constantly assessing their patients to know how stable are these patients and what care to provide . What treatment they need and get doctors involved. Nurses are very educated and work in collaboration with the MDs. 50 years ago nurses just take orders from doctors not knowing why they are doing things. As science evolve as nurses are knowledgeable to respond and provide top care to their patients.

I think nurses in GA should be questioning their governing board? In my state one cannot get authorization to sit for the NCLEX until the BON verifies all requirements have been met. To me the bigger issue in not the nurses, but how was this able to happen. Either the state and those facilities were negligent or there is some corruption going on.

I totally understand. Had a woman of another color start "ordering" me around when I walked into the room. Pick this up, clean this up! I looked at her and said, "I'm not the maid, I am the nurse!" Oh, I thought you were the help! The aide walks in and she asks her for her medicine after I'd already told her I was the nurse. She tried to "save face" by saying, "you all look alike!" I said, Who, all nurses or all aides?!" I said some other things to straighten her out. She was very apologetic afterwards but sister waited for that medicine and was happy as a pig in slop when she got it!! I wasn't being vindictive about the meds, I had to rapid another of my 7 patients!

Regina, I am a Haitian American RN born here. The fact that they are focusing on one group, which is Haitians its sad. Because I know its other backgrounds involved. As far as fake, I agree with you. Why? Because most of them were LPNs. They couldn't pass the very last class or exit and went somewhere with their transcript and passed the boards. I just pray they can show proof. It's just false news that people really bought a degree and passed the boards??? The NCLEX isn't easy. They mentioned no harm was done. They may have a language barrier, but that doesn't mean they don't understand the material. My mom has an accent, but she knew her material better than me.

Most Haitians have zero comprehension. Most Haitians can't even read and the one who do know how to read are very limited and have no comprehension of what they are reading. I keep getting told that I'm not a real nurse because I failed nclex 3 times (passed 4th attempt and now a licensed nurse). People who aren't nurses can't seem to get it through their heads that failing the nclex doesn't mean you can never be a nurse. Once you pass you're a nurse like any other nurse and the failed attempts don't even matter.

incompetence goes beyond skim color. Completed a CNA course. However, at my mother's rehab center, CNAs were from another country, their English wasn't that understandable... I wondered how they passed exam?!? Met sum CNAs that didn't seem too smart and lacked practicing... Don't contaminate Techniques...!!! Puzzled how they got license?!? Many unfit physically. Wouldn't be able to respond to a code. Years ago picked up application for local LPN school... Enclosed was information about the importance of being physically fit... I pass this school all the time...fail to see that many of them are obese. So I guess school is more of a business!!! And they must be federally funded, thereby, admission isn't selective...butt... Done on a herding basis. Rehabs, nursing homes hide a lot of incompetent health workers...always need personnel... Sum So called nurses...that have practiced nursing... Whom I met...don't have gray cells...butt have done this type of work for decades.... Several reasons for this!!!! I had to jump through a lot of hoops... obviously that doesn't mean everyone else did!!! Guess sum are hired so facility won't be sued. Worked in retail pharmacy...sum hires were a nightmare. Simply don't trust health care workers...just to be safe!!!! You just can't depend on someone Anymore!!!! Especially when you're the most helpless. Just like with politicians... Many are Picked and placed into positions...not really elected... Same is the trend for nursing. Frightening....

Do you think this could have happened in any private nursing school? I heard that some of these students/ nurses went through these programs the right way with a shady program not knowing. So they say that the schools sold their rights to other schools to maintain the students going without dismissing them. I believe there is much more than just selling and buying the nursing diplomas. I believe some student's truly trusted the schools and were deceived. Now, although some graduated and took the nuclei, years ago, because they were affiliated with the schools, they have been deemed fraudsters of their own career.
