I have been playing guitar since 1964 and I am asked what type of music I play. I always say I play "kitchen music". You get together with good friends and lots of instruments, some coffee or some beers and exchange songs and music. It is true living and a joy of life. You guys are fine musicians with fine voices. You play your songs with Heart and Joy and it sure comes through. You don't rush things that shouldn't be and go faster when you should. Bringing true Heart and Spirit into our world is greatly needed. All of us need to look within and find out gifts and we all have them. I am very Thankful you are sharing your Spirit and Gifts with the World. It is what is needed. Thank You! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

So many folks discovered this song at the end of The Devil To Play. I feel so lucky I learned about it at a live house concert in Maine with friends, RTR set was so wonderful and I keep coming back to their songs, but this is my favorite.

If i should lose most everything I tell you what i would do Id pull a bow across the string Fall away Fall away blues If you broke that fiddle bow I tell you what i would do Id start singing another tune Fall away fall away blues If you silenced all my sound I tell you what i would do Id dance all night and never sit down Fall away fall way blues Fall away Fall away blues. X4 If you broke my lonely heart Tell you what i would do Find another when we part Fall away Fall away blues

(Lyrics from the original liner notes of "Fall Away Blues":) If I should lose most everything, Tell you what I would do, Pull some bow across the string, Fall away, fall away blues If you broke that fiddle bow, Tell you what I would do, I'd start singing another tune, Fall away, fall away blues If you silenced all my sound, Tell you what I would do, I'd dance all night and never sit down, Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues If you broke my only heart Tell you what I would do, I'd find another when we part, Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues Fall away, fall away blues

I can't quite distinguish the lyrics, but the music is PERFECT. I had to listen a few times to understand why. Laurel's voice is terrific, but realisticly there are a million pretty girls with pretty voices, hers is unusual in timbre, but what makes it is the harmony by Mr. Beauchamp... not loud, just there. Then, the same story seems to happen with the violin & guitar. How you do it I have no idea but it's one of the prettiest pieces in the whole wide world.
