In this Fall DIY Paint Stir Stick Tray 2018 Easy, I show how I take Paint Stir sticks from Home Depot and Lowe’s and cut them in various lengths. Next, I paint them with chalk paint to give them a Fall look. Next I cut a piece of 1/8 inch plywood for the center of the tray and paint it with the same chalk paint. I then a use a hot glue gun to glue the stir sticks together to make a tray. Next, I put bronze handles onto the tray. Finally I decoupage a beautiful pumpkin napkin on top of the center of the tray to make a beautiful custom Fall tray for my Fall home decor. I show how easy and inexpensive it is to decorate your home for Fall.

Instructions:
Cut 7 five gallon paint stir sticks @ 16 inches long.
Cut 2 @ 16 1/2 inches long.
Cut 4 @ 9 3/4 inches long.
Cut 2 @ 13 1/4 inches long.
Cut a piece of 1/8 inch plywood for the inside of the tray.
Due to how this tray is constructed drill your holes for the handles 1/2 inch down from the top edge of the tray. Drill holes using a 3/16 drill bit.
My screws are 3/8 long.
Paint all sticks and plywood using the color of your choice.
Decoupage napkin on top of plywood if you desire.
1. Take two of the 13 1/4 inch sticks and lay them down horizontal. Next take two of the 9 3/4 inch sticks and place them vertically on the ends of the 13 1/4 inch sticks and form a rectangle then glue together edge to edge.
2. Take the seven 16 inch long sticks and glue them onto the base you just made forming the bottom of the tray. Leave no space between the sticks.
3. Take the two remaining 9 3/4 inch sticks and glue them to the sides of the tray in an upright fashion.
4. Take the two sticks that are 16 1/2 inches long and glue them horizontally against the edge of the tray.
5. Put plywood with decoupaged napkin on it inside of the tray it will be a tight fit.
I would suggest using hot glue and E6000 or Construction adhesive to glue the tray together for a strong hold.
Size of finished tray is 16 1/2 x 10 1/4
