I live in Vacaville and I moved into a new home last year with an established avocado tree and it was burnt to a crisp towards the front and top of the tree during the heat wave this year! So many leaves looked similar to your trees yellowing/ brown leaves so we cut it back and hope it flushes back once we get some rain. I hope your tree lives on because the fruit is delicious and so worth the effort!

Thanks for the comment! That makes me feel better, I know avocados struggle in our heat but I hear of people growing them so I'm hopeful ours can pull through!

Love your garden. I'm over in Roseville so it's that much more interesting watching what you guys are doing. I use a product called Monterey B.T. for cabbage worms. It's a bacteria specific to caterpillars; harmless to other insects. Works perfectly.

That jalapeño plant is impressively tall! I can't stand pest pressure. Gardeners work so hard to produce veggies. Isn't it enough to deal with weather and watering, all the regular stuff. Then the bugs come from every direction. Not that I like the rabbits, ground hogs, and squirrels helping themselves, but the bugs really freak me out. Looking forward to seeing your peas grow. I haven't tried peas yet, but I will. Your zinnias are awesome! Love the gomphrena too! Such bright colors! I'm very interested to see how you cut your roses for them to go dormant. I know very little about rose care. So many great things in your garden! Looking forward to seeing your cauliflower grow. I had one nice cauliflower growing, and some critter ate it! I'll try again for sure, but I'll need to work on discouraging critters. Thanks for the tour! Really enjoyed it! Good luck with all of it!

Thanks Ke Le, yes the pests are annoying but part of the process I suppose. Thanks for watching and here is our winter rose pruning video from years past! kzitem.info/news/bejne/lLCKz46on3qDl2k

@@OurLibertyHouse thank you so much!! Ever since I learned that each tree and bush should be pruned in its own specific way, I've been afraid to trim anything!
