Hi Jordan, love this fall leaves quilt. We made this for a raffle in our Grange club and it sold for sooo many tickets...everybody wanted it. The lady that won it was a nurse and she hung it in her work place so she could share it ...What a wonderful tribute to everyone involved in the making of it. We put your name on it as where the pattern came from. Hope that was ok. It was truly beautiful. Am making another one for next year...as per request.

I watched the tutorial for the table runner first and loved it. Then I watched this tutorial and I loved it also. I think what I love the most is how they go together and the small one uses up the leftovers from the other one so there is hardly any waste. Good job. I look forward to the table runner pattern. xoxo

I loved the "Fall Leaves Fall" pattern. The quilt as well as the table runner came out beautiful!! I would like to see a lone star in Christmas fabrics like the ones you used for the rail fence Those. Those were beautiful.! Be sure to tell how much fabric of each piece to buy. Also how much fabric do you use for you stash when you find a line you really like. Even if you don't have a pattern in mind at the time how much from reach piece for piecing and boarders and binding or backing. Is there a formula? Thanks for all your tutorials. I've learned so much. You and Matt do such a great job!

Hi. Great tutorial and I'm just planning to make a maple leaf quilt. Your pattern is great because you cut two rectangles rather than squares. Also saves on nesting seams. KZitem has a Settings button (on the right side just below the video that is playing). If you click on it, and then click on Quality, you can choose your level of playback. Try selecting a higher resolution and not just Auto and video will then not be blurry.

I really love this pattern. And I love your videos. The progression and speed of each step is fast enough that I don't get bored. Because your focus is on constructing the pattern, I like that you only show one block at a time. But, after watching so many of your videos, I finally figured out why it bothers me so much that your ironing and cutting stations are so far away from each other and the sewing machine. Even though Donna is a very pretty lady, it wastes my time watching her walk from station to station, especially today, when she had to go back for the long cutting ruler. I would rather you edit that out and just say "I'll meet you over there." Sometimes when you walk from shop to workroom to pick out fabric it makes the video interesting, but that long walk to the new building is going to make me tired if it happens too often. No hard feelings meant as I'll probably keep watching, but all that walking seems to break the flow of the lesson. xoxo

I understand what you are saying Suzi, but I actually find that it just shows that Donna is just a normal quilt sewist just like me! I have to remind myself, how many times have I gone to my cutting mat and forgotten my ruler...quite often actually. Keep up the great video's Donna....love them.

Suzi Saint James You shouldn't sit for long periods without moving. i deliberately have my iron and cutting station away from the sewing machine and that gives me a break. i have bad arthritis and need to move a lot, otherwise I get so engrossed that i forget, this just forces you to change posture regularly.
@suzisaintjames
7 жыл бұрын
Donna is a lovely lady, thanks for defending her, and you are right, moving is important, but what I was trying to say was that when I watch these videos that I'm more interested in the progression of the block than I am watching Donna move from station to station. Sorry.
