AI Tags are a way to attempt to replicate the aggro lines from Three Houses by simply telling the player what kind of AI the enemies have. The game has six main AI types.
Aggressive AI: These enemies will either aggro from the start of the map or as soon as the spawn.
Hesitant AI: These are enemies who wait one turn and then aggro. Typically enemies who arrive as reinforcements use this AI to give the player time to adjust.
Stationary AI: These are enemies who will never move and only attack adjacent enemies, like typical Throne bosses.
Lure AI: These are the enemies who will only agro once a unit has entered their range.
1/2 Range AI: These are the trickiest enemies. They attack once you enter half of their attack range (this means if they have a 2 range weapon and a 1 range weapon, you can't force them to use either by baiting them at the edge of their range).
2 Atk Range: These enemies will attack if they can reach a unit in two turns (so if they have 6 move and there's an enemy 13 spaces away, they will move 6 spaces on the first turn because they can reach the enemy on the second turn).
Wait AI: These are enemies whose AI might change mid chapter for some reason. Enemies who charge in the last few turns of a defense map, for example.
The game contains AI Tag items. These are simple useless items in the enemy's inventory that tell you what AI the enemy is using. Enemies using Aggressive AI are not marked by the game, as it's obvious they're moving towards the player.
If an enemy has a full inventory (four slots for the enemy), then they to not carry an AI tag. If the enemy has a droppable item, they do not have an AI Tag (as the AI Tags are items and we want the enemy to drop their useful item and not a useless AI Tag). The enemies in the final chapter of the game (Chapter 11) also lack AI Tags, as they have a complicated AI system that changes on a turn by turn basis (most of them have full inventories anyway).
