I compliment you on your rig choice. I just discovered your channel and caught up on past episodes involving your decision making. My wife and I traveled for 8 years in our Lance 865 on a Ram 2500 truck and thoroughly loved it. It is a perfect match for nomadic travel. Our ultimate adventure in it was a summer long trip up to Alaska and Western Canada. We took advantage of the compact size going up to Alaska by taking 9 daytime legs on the ferry system through the inside passage and staying a couple to 3 days at each stop. The daytime travel offered marine viewing you would never see on a cruise. If and when you decide to go, the Lance will present opportunities not available in other types of RV's.

Thanks! That sounds like an incredible adventure! We totally agree with you, our Lance has given us unique opportunities to see things we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. Alaska is definitely on our list of places to take our Lance!

@@thewaywedidit Another great destination you should checkout is Redfish Lake and Stanley in Idaho. It's relatively close and gorgeous scenery. Stop at "Craters of the Moon" on your way there.

I was glad to see that was a grouse, because I thought at first it was a ptarmigan. Dillon, Colorado has a wonderful place we have stayed named "Ptarmigan Lodge" ... and it was the first time I had ever heard of a ptarmigan. Grouse and ptarmigan are very interesting birds. The sheep were pretty cool too. Beautiful scenery. Wonderful video of what looks like an amazing Autumn excursion.

Thanks so much! Well a ptarmigan is a better guess than a duck like we thought 😂

Great scenery!!! It could be way better if it was a Chevy instead of a Ford 😂.

Love your videos! My wife and I are retired and live next door in Broomfield. Have you done any winter camping?

Thank you neighbor! We have not, we usually store our camper for the winter and take a break from the road.

The field where the sheep were grazing as well as where the estate and highway cattle were at used to be called 3 Forks Ranch when I lived in the Yampa Valley. Drove that road many times up to Baggs, WY. One of my favoritist camp spots is on the left a few miles before 3 Forks…my buddy and I refer to it as “the sweet spot” as it sits right on a small stream. Thank you for taking me on a journey of great memories through northern Routt County!!! As always, stay safe out there…..

Spruce grouse, offend referred to as Fool's Hens because they often don’t flee or hide from humans.

Beautiful location. Dirt roads are our favorite because they often lead to the best places.
