This song was my fight song many years ago when battling an opiate addiction. Sarah literally walked with me through a big battle and I won. 11 years later and sober this song came to me last night, for reasons only God knows, it was a welcomed reminder about how far I’ve come and a new wonderful life that was given to me. 💖

Honestly, I have depression and this song makes me feel it and confront it. I don't cry listening to this song. It just makes me feel like my feelings are seen in they lyrics. It reminds me of the pills, and the pain. The aching to find anybody to take it away or to understand...but too afraid that people would be afraid or angry about what goes on in my head. And the worst part is trying to stop it.

To all who have written here about their suffering. Everyone makes mistakes, You're human. The only thing that separates the winners from the losers are the ones who just manage to keep trying. Keep getting up, then get up again. Keep moving. It is never too late to change your life. There is always something you can do to better your situation....one more choice, one more option. The only time you really lose is when you give up.

Have a few grams around for the days it's a battle, don't use every day or you've just swapped habits and you'll get there. You wouldn't believe what a success he has made of his life, and his family who f***ed him off wish they had believed in him every time they get postcards from the few who stood by him and are staying at his villa in the Med' or need to borrow a few grand. Life is hard we all make mistakes, and tho we tried to do our best we often fall, and need a helping hand to lift us up, not remind us of our failures. Its about lives and love and forgiveness and helping one another, dont point fingers, or throw stones at a person already down! Hug them help them and mean your words Many liars all around living a fake life because they don't want noone to see the real them for worse fear is being called out on the truth and being judged harshly by those that sin daily too. It takes courage to be your true self, and not worry what others think for you only have one life to live so make it your life and not what others want you to be. Trust God he created you and he doesn't make any mistakes.

Years later, my belief is that Sarah realized what was required of her in order to maintain the level of success she had and it was beyond her own comprehension. A sacrifice that even she could not reconcile. As things regarding what has gone on in Hollywood and in the music industries come out, which went on right under our noses for decades, I think a lot of us are going to look back on their offerings with a more esoteric understanding of what they were trying to say to us.... and quite frankly, be horrified.

Ethereal Catholic because you haven't been in that position? This life is all perception. There is a massive darkness in the entertainment industry and how could you even begin to understand that without being there yourself? They lead the most lonely lives of all of us. I didn't hear bitching, just singing and expressing of emotion. I get it though, you're probably young and lack experience but maybe change your name cause it doesn't suit. Infact i don't know what's going on with religion but most of these cats are all self righteous and the true definition of Christianity or any religion over the past few decades has been lost. A bunch a freaking power tripping self centered idiots spreading hate. Stop judging, dividing, hating. Step away from your phones, computers, tv, go outside and play, smile, help one another, and most importantly LOVE LOVE LOVE everyone and everything for we are all conditioned but if we aren't for eachother we are against and damnnation is upon us. And fyi, I'm actually not religious for this reason..it's lost. I have my own church and God is everywhere, he doesn't care if you go to a church, donate money for their "cause". What a bunch of crap this world is spouting out..sorry world, i meant it's the people in it. Freaking sheeple. Okay, rant over😄

This song is about abondement to me. It could also be interpreted as someone who has cheated, which her original video portrayed. But I have had to deal with abondement since I was 4 and the burden that time always reveals, and the bitterness of losing everything I hold so dear. I have spent 15 years accepting it. Thought I would share my thoughts on this song. Sarah knows how to tap into the deepest places and that's why I like her so much. Not looking for empathy but it feels good to let it out! I agree, angels do exist, God exists, He watches over us and love us, and the least we can possibly do to thank Him is to love life; truly, it's not life that hurts, it's that we let ourselves get wrapped up in things that don't matter, when really all we should be doing is celebrating God's love, and how He died to save us, and now has given us more, life. love God :)
