Ronnie grew up without his mom. The line where it said "It all started when I lost my mother" is clearly very relatable to him and I think a big reason he wanted to do this version of this song.

Thankyou for this reaction. You are one the first who let the music speak for itself. A song like this needs to be absorbed from start to finish. It's doesn't need comment it just needs to be heard. So again for that I thank you. Other reactors could learn well from you. Respect from Scotland ❤

I love how he takes an original song that you didn't really pay attention to the lyrics to when you were banging your head as a kid. Slowing it down to show everyone what the impact of those lyrics are. Just like his other two reimagined/revamped songs. They are so powerful. I hope he keeps doing this to have us open our eyes to the beautiful words that were sung.

I love your message regarding seeing things with an open mindset, thank you for that... I, personally, like this version way better, same with Disturbed's version of "The Sound of Silence", the originals are great, but both covers add so much more to the songs

I’ve seen Papa Roach live many many times, yet to see FIR but I’m trying. This song in general is amazing but the original is a head banger, this is more inner thought provoking for me. I love everything Ronnie does but this puts new meaning to a great song. It also gives me the realization of what Jacoby might have been or could still be going through by understanding the lyrics more with this rendition. Depression is no joke folks. Love the reaction.

If you like piano, check out some Savatage : - Gutter Ballet - When The Crowds Are Gone - If I Go Away - Desirée - Edge Of Thorns And of course, every Savatage fan will freak out if I did not mention : - Believe There are 3 version of Believe : The original album (Streets, 1991) version (Jon Oliva vocal) ; A shorter "acoustic" version (Zak Stevens vocal) ; And a cover by Trans-Siberian Orchestra (TSO), a "band" that is a "spin-off" of the progressive side of Savatage. All are good, but the original would be the best to start with, for all the lyrics.

I watched about 30 different reactions to this video, and I haven't gotten tired of it yet. Yours is also fun to watch. When I first saw this video, I immediately thought of you. I was confident that you would see it pretty soon after it was released. The end of the song still makes me teary. I think of it as though I need to rebuild my world that the real world destroyed. It's that moment of watching the buildings go back up while Ronnie is screaming. Keep it metal. \m/

If anyone else already pointed this out already my apologies. As the music video ends you said "watch the world burn". Actually the fire is receding there. It's the opposite of the end of the video for their song Watch The World Burn where the globe is being consumed by fire. I listened to this version a few times since they released the video the other, but I didn't catch that fact until watching your reaction.

Ive mentioned this on other video's.. but bit of a personal story.. This Reimagined version: Goosebumps...... just.... goosebumps...... And quite a few tears.... 😭 The Origional: The original song, came out at a godsend moment for me. I was dealing with a relapse (for lack of a better term to use) of a medical issue in my late teens that had my lungs randomly collapsing. Was in a really dark place due to the constant collapses + scars from surgeries..... the Original is what kept me from staying down and gave me the strength to claw my way back out of that pit. THIS is how i felt when i heard the original.. THIS is what i was hearing when i heard that original song... its what gave me the courage to not back down and give up. Yes i was 'head-banging' to the original (i even do the same to this version, just at a more sedated pace), but the feelings THIS song give.. are what i was dealing with at that moment... 5:51 = that moment when i was at my lowest during those days, literally teetering on a knife-edge ...... 6:00 + is what this song, in its original form, did for me. Many people 'rocked out' to Last Resort. It was their 'angry escape' song of sorts from everything from a bad day at school, looing a game, or just angry at life in general. For some of us, it had an entirely different meaning. Ronnie Captures THAT side of the song that those of us who latched onto it as a lifeline felt with this Reimagined version.

I have to ask.. The video, the way it ends. is that connected to Watch the world burn, that ends with the world burning zooming out.. And here its all pulled back zooming out.. It must be connected. I can't remember the last time I heard this song.. it was everywhere back when I was young.. In a time long forgotten.. This is sweet. I heard this song so many times when I was young. But hearing it now much older, in this way. It really makes it clear what it was about. Also thinking about, this song was played everywhere, tv, radio and so on. All we get on radio today is garbage 5 notes songs all made the same way about some weird topic. I miss mainstream music being something that mattered.
