Golden age Double Dare - January 1988-92 (start of syndicated version to premiere of final season of (Family) Double Dare and without Harvey). The 1992-93 season is still better than the first two low-budget Nickelodeon years except the lack of Harvey and Dave.

Right, I always thought so too. The OG Double Dare you could tell was on a tight budget and wasn't well lit. Super Sloppy Double Dare upped the productin values but IMO it's peak was easily Family Double Dare. Something about the family dynamic.

My theory for Doc doing FDD and LOTHT’s updated consolation plugs is that Doc was an Orlando local and radio DJ so that may have been why. For Nick Arcade and What Would You Do’s updated consolation plugs (promotional in WWYD’s case) it was a female announcer, possibly Nick Arcade’s announcer Andrea Lively or it may have been Robin based on the voice.
