A true American hero and Patriot. Not many like him today. When we need them most! Count me in! I value my freedom more than I value my life. When Americans share this sacred principle we can restore our Republic. And only then. There can be no comprise.

Visited the memorial to Richard Bong in Poplar Wisconsin back in 1968. There was a P-38 fighter mounted on a concrete pedestal. My recollection is that it was next to a school with a small window display of his military mementos.

My father met him at tacloban air strip on Leyte. At night he would come onboard his LST 220 and talk with the crew.

His Hero of course was Eddie Rickenbocker. WWI flying Ace. His words are as such. He was abit tired of the Hero worship and glorification of past memories of the war. He stated.”War...is scientific Murder.” It’s skill..tactics...firepower! Practice...training...Practice...training..Real Shit! Dick Bong said.”Most Pilots could fly well enough...but literally....couldn’t hit the side of a barn!” He stressed....Practice...training...Practice...training..Real Shit! So sure of his gunnery.....like other aces. He would have the tracers removed....as he wanted the live rounds! He hit what he shot at! 90 degree deflection shooting..considered the hardest. Again....Towed Targets. Ground targets. Floating targets. You fly with ammo...you use that ammo. Targets of opportunity! 5% of the aces....shot down over 50% of the planes! And....they had to be sent home. Often banned from flying future missions......they would often go any way! Can’t keep a Good man down! RIP. He is.......known.

Ace of Aces! A true Hero by example. And yet.........Brett Farve is far more we’ll known. Why? Media ignores real Hero’s for sport celebrity’s and Hollyweird liberal garbage. The Dumbing down of America.....has its roots in our schools and media. There is a bridge...from Duluth to Superior. Bong Bridge! And a fine museum. And a P-38! History! A Hero. Known for his accuracy and eagle vision. And...Humble. 40+ victory’s. Given the vast expanse of the pacific...it’s remarkable!
