The 2023 Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a stalwart in the premium sedan segment, but four-doors are hardly in fashion anymore. Yep, we live in a country where non-traditional SUVs dominate. But such is Mercedes' commitment to the C-Class that it's now in its fifth generation.
And as always, the new C-Class draws plenty of design inspiration (and technology) from one of its siblings, the S-Class flagship. And that's good news for those buyers that still enjoy a good four-door sedan.
In this expert review, CarsGuide Contributing Journalist Emily Agar assess whether or not family buyers in the premium segment should be considering the C-Class over Mercedes' equivalent GLC mid-size SUV or its BMW X3 rival.
As she finds out, even the entry-level C-Class, the C200, is thoroughly impressive, so much so that you might reconsider buying an SUV instead of a sedan.
