Very nice bio on Sir John Dillinger. We have a trip scheduled with my very first subscriber who lives there to see ol Johnny boy, in spring. It was fun to watch your episode and to see the lay of the land there, good videography and the production & music - very well done!! Your channel will keep growing by leaps and bounds. There are a couple of stories that you could have added. During one bank robbery, a teller was very nervous when putting the cash in a bag. Dillinger calmed her down and said, "Just give me the money, honey." Another time, a man had gone into a bank to cash his paycheck when Dillinger entered. The man put his hands up, leaving his cash on the counter in front of the teller. Dillinger told the man to put his money in his pocket. The man was confused, and Dillinger said, 'I don't want YOUR money. I want THEIR money." So the man was able to keep his pay as Dillinger robbed the bank. No wonder he was considered a folk hero to many.

Great video. The one thing that I find amazing about Dillinger is that he robbed all those banks in roughly one year. The numbers seems to indicate he robbed one a month. While it seems like he always was in some sort of trouble for his actions, his fame rested only on the last year of his life and how he died.

Love your videos. Many, many years ago I was a Dayton police officer. I want to set the record straight. Dillinger did not escape from the jail in Dayton. Here is the description that was published recently in the Dayton Daily News: “Montgomery County Common Pleas Judge Robert C. Patterson turned Dillinger over to armed guards, who escorted the gangster to Allen County to await trial for robbing the Citizens National Bank in Bluffton. Dillinger’s gang escaped from their Indiana prison and made their way to Allen County. They passed themselves off as prison officials and broke Dillinger out of jail, killing Sheriff Jesse Sarber during the escape.” Allen County is north of Dayton in Lima, Ohio.
