Do you remember playing in a huge circus building years ago? A lot of people were sitting in the stands not paying attention, and you asked the few of us paying attention if we had any requests. I yelled out Olivia (it might have been called "Object of my Infection" at the time) and the crowd went crazy and you guys opened up with that one the next day? Just wanted to say, those were some of my favorite shows. It was all acoustic and everyone was just so fucking happy to be there, dancing and laughing to silly songs. I know you guys have evolved, but that's what I've always taken from Calibretto and Harley Poe. Just a good time. It kinda breaks my heart a bit how some folks push their interpretation of your lyrics on you. Hope you're doing well man. :)

Hi Joe! I've found Harley Poe's music last year (around 7-8 months ago) when I went through one of the roughest patches in my life and your album Lost And Losing It really helped me through it all, it helped me cry when I had been emotionally constipated for weeks and shout out my frustrations when I felt like I couldn't and didn't want to breath anymore. I can honestly say that I can't see myself being here right now if it weren't for that album.. Fuck, I'm crying just writing this and thinking about it, but anyway I just wanted to say that I'm forever grateful for the music you've made man! You've got a beautiful soul and every song I've heard since is truly amazing and I love the way your write! Never stop doing you and I really hope we get to hear more music from you in the future!🤘 I sincerely can't thank you enough, hope you and all your loved once are doing well in these strange times we live in!❤ Much love and respect from a little heathen in Sweden!🖤

Although this is from over a year ago, I hope you get to see this. I appreciate your art man... Saw you live in Cincinnati with The Homeless Gospel Choir, it helped me feel like a “normal” human for a change and introduced me to their music as well. :) Sad to hear it sounds like some of the “cancel culture” crowd has been nagging at you, it can be a loud minority of misunderstandings with changing times. Also a question if it’s not already on the list: - Do you consider “Harley Poe” to be ‘his own character’, an extension of your own personality/alternate ego, or simply a cool name you picked when shifting to solo stuff? Might be looking too deep into it, but I love it regardless; Keep it up, hoping for a Harley Poe ‘21 when the dust finally settles.

I would like to do a series of pvc Harley Poe mini figures based off characters from the songs and t-shirts, and the Harley Poe character would look like a little skeleton kid with a black hoodie and guitar like the cover of Sata Sex... I mostly see Harley Poe as my dark side. My insecurities and hang ups. It was created as a stage name, but has kinda taken over my life at times. I use it to vent and release frustration, but it's easy to get caught up and revel in my darkness or selfishness or whatever, and then I just begin to hate myself. It can be cathartic, but breaks are good.
