It's amazing how much of a difference it makes to motivate the mental to watch a show when the art is so polished. I can't understand how some people refuse to acknowledge how much more consistent, polished, and s Aestheticlly pleasing the Golden Age of dragon ball animation was. Super was off model literally half the show.

The old one looks so much better, clean lines, shading and has more of the Z battle feels. I would often get tired of the art style in Super and just went back to the classics. Still legendary imo.
That Super Saiyan Blue, SSR, and MUI hit different in the original art style. Anyone else would rewatch Dragon Ball Super if it was animated like Dragon Ball Z?
The rigid line work of 90’s really suits the intense dragon ball fights. For example, Goku’s face look smooth and fat in Super, while in Z his facial expression is more focused and the muscles don’t feel lose. Today’s animation looks like a bunch of polished color blocks, while the classical style has more hierarchy in shadows(hair, face, cloth etc.) which really enriched the image. In Dragon ball Z, we only had regular ssj transformation. That makes every moment special. However, dragon ball super keeps adding all kinds of hair color, pink, blue, white etc. which take away the impact of transformation. Ssj Really becomes something less meaningful and like a hair saloon.
