Is it not interesting that Cole chose to profess his love immediately after Drake's rant? - One 40 year old popstar Drake throwing tantrums at a club over failed friendships and cosplaying gangster, the other holier than thou, I'm above the fray Cole dishing out digital love letters and hugs to the PDF File all the while sending passive aggressive notes towards Kendrick. "If you refuse to shoot the gun, don't mean the gun ain't deadly" But you did shoot the gun and shot yourself in the foot, Cole is attempting to revise history right in front of our eyes and it will not work. Cole penned the lyrics to 7min drill, benefited from the streams - only deleted it after the public disdain and now months later wants to play the I'm morally superior and too righteous to engage in a rap battle stance? We are not slow Cole, DOT should not entertain these frauds any further....while I return to my very peaceful life 😊❤

You make some dope content and your channel is on the way up! You might say this is cap but I went to St. John’s when J. Cole went, there and we graduated the same year. We had a few classes together and shared mutual friends. Cole never came off like he was looking for acceptance with black prople. All his friends were black and his biracial background was never a concern. We called him Cole back then and he was known as a producer more so than a rapper as crazy as that sounds today. He was an authentic dude, extremely intelligent, and unlike some rappers, he was getting girls when he was just a civilian. He genuinely a good natured person, he spent most of his free time in his dorm room cooking up beats on his computer and best machine. I can’t speak for who he was before his college years but in college he wasn’t a cornball looking for acceptance and he understood hip-hop culture just as good as anyone. I don’t know why he’s been moving so suspect since the rap battle set off and I agree he’s going damage to his legacy and doesn’t seem to know it. He’s got good friends around him who more than likely told him not to apologize from the jump but he’s his own man.

it's called "EGO" that's what made Cole jump out on "first person shooter" and come out with the diss-track "7 minute drill" and deleted it because he forgot to read the room. Cole is a coward. He noticed that Drake media glazers (Mal, Ak, Adam22) were setting up a play for Drake to attack Cole and hope a comeback after the beat down he took from Kendrick. Also Drake for a while has been poking Cole on social media. Cole saw the play and doesn’t wanna battle Drake coz he knows he owes too much to Drake and Drake could exploit that to son him. Cole is a hypocrite and a grandstander. That whole song was a love letter to calm Drake down and bribe him in not attacking him since Cole left him to dry in the dot beef, then collabed with Metro, Daylyt, Asap, Future. And to secure that Drake doesn’t aim him he made sure to put some sneak disses at Kendrick so Drake glazers and Drake can latch on to. Cole is the ultimate poser, hypocrite and coward. He has no hip hop backbone. He first dissed Kendrick with that trash 7 minutes drill. Then the track was badly received by the culture. He then quickly apologized and pulled the song to duck the incoming Dot smoke. So yeah all in all Cole is a coward who now is trying to rewrite history and gaslight us

Man i can't believe the internet is bashing this dude for not battle rapping his homie kdot. J Cole just explained in his song perfectly clear and positive why he backed out because he treasure his friendship more with both friends Kdot and Drake. So you see how the shit ended up with kdot and drake. Shit got personal. So what if it would have gotten personal with all 3 then what. Sometimes you can't take words back so Cole did the right thing. Shit is sad with the negative comments. Internet is F-UP.

The whole beef started with Cole. They wanted Dot on FPS and Dot wanted no parts of it. Frake kept subbing but Cole called Dot's name and said he was better, challenge accepted now stand on your shit. He didn't diss Cole in Like That just threw down the gauntlet. Cole dropped a diss and made it personal then apologized like a bih and fell back and watched his boy get destroyed. Now he back to beating his chest and woulda coulda shoulda. The only one he apologized to with this track was Frake. Gon back to Dreamville fam,we not interested.

Him equating Kendrick & Drake in his 2nd verse pisses me off. Claiming "both sides" are using bots & glazers - I've only seen Drake doing that. Kdot isn't interested in that stuff, it's all Drake. Also, Cole ignores alllllll the nasty stuff Drake gets up to that Kendrick was calling out. The weird people in OVO, the underage grooming - the online gambling Drake promotes - it's vice after vice & Kendrick was calling it out - so it isn't a "both sides in the wrong" situation. Cole bowed out of the battle & now he's back & taking shots? Weak. "If I had been in the ring I'd be unbeatable!" - f-that weak ish.

That’s the thing though. Kendrick doesn’t know ALL levels of blackness cause he hasn’t experienced certain type of black lifestyles aswell. He grew up with a father and mother not a single mother. I think Cole and Drake try to pretend they have Kendrick’s experience because to them that’s what "black" means in terms of social acceptance when in reality there’s so many different aspects of black lifestyles and stories each type of generation goes through. They weren’t confident enough in their OWN black story because they didn’t accept the path they were on to begin with. They wanted what looked good to others.

I fux with most of the takes and points you make. I think most lightskinned folks have somewhat of an issue. However, to be a black person in America, shouldn’t be exclusionary. The same way I’ve never been stopped by the police and been able to identify as a dark skinned white male. My experience isn’t the same as most as I was raised by my father’s mother. I didn’t grow up in a white household, neighborhood, or environment. It’s not to say I don’t understand the privilege that I’m afforded as lighter. Or that I don’t see how society at large views lightness as more desirable. But my upbringing was spent having to fight to prove that I belonged. Neither view from either perspective is healthy. The former will be overly violent to compensate to prove they are one of the community. On the other end, they end up being closer to what Cole and Drake are viewed as. Uncomfortable in their own skim and polarized by their own existence. Doesn’t give them an excuse. But I’ve seen both destroy people.

You're off about 1 thing. Drake and Cole get along because they're both fake. The only difference between them is Drake is competitive and Cole is not - he only pretends to be.. Cole plays politics and straddles the fence. He wants the title and notoriety without the challenge. I have literally seen interviews where he has critiqued the ills of the industry and clowned rappers for not being competitive and standing firm, but turns out he is that rapper. He only leans on that righteous pacifist shit when he comes into controversy and will flip flop in a heart beat. In that song, Cole tried to obsolve himself of any responsibility for the part he played in the beef and to get a pat on the back for something he didn't earn. He came out months later when the dust settled to start talking shit.
