Pete has been playing a 'character' since he came back in the early 2000s based on his love of pro wrestling. It certainly helped him recover his game. You can't act the way he did for all that time if you weren't winning or placing. And it seemed he was every week. I think some of his acting up was at no one in particular, and was just him being 'in character', as even the announcers couldn't figure out what his problem was, and I don't think the officials knew who in the hell he was talking about either, since no one was moved. I think he needed that to stay in the mental game to bowl as well as he did.
