These are great answers. I'm sure you could have used The Mistborn books over and over again if you wanted to. LOL. You guys are great. Thank you for the tag!

I read the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo series years ago too and loved it myself.

I think a lot of people would say that The Giver was their formative one because it's one of the first YA novels they were introduced to in elementary, but to have that extra detail of it being the first book you thought critically about outside of a school setting makes it really special. 😎

Interesting- I hadn’t thght about how many others it has likely impacted. 🤔👍

I loved Mistborn a lot! It was really the book that got me into fantasy as an adult. I'm so grateful that I found it.

Gina- since ur such a fan- tell me- do I read the first three then take a break? Or do I read all that’s related? I don’t quite understand how they are numbered as 4,5,6 etc when it’s a “trilogy” and has more coming too right?

I found myself to be very impressed with Where the Crawdads Sing too! It touched on so many issues and topics beautifully. I believe they just wrapped up the acting for the movie very recently.

It really was so beautiful! Well- we wrapped up the filming of the movie about a year ago🤣😂 it was our first review that we did with an extended scene reenactment of the murder🤣

What a neat tag. I need to dive back into fantasy soon. I'm a mood reader and can flip flop from one genre to another depending on my mood lol. Got lots of ideas for future reads from you though. Just subscribed (191) . Thanks for sharing, Peace love and happiness ~ Tracey

Malice LOOKS big, but I think it's about the same length as Mistborn. I found it read quick though and am excited to continue the series!

Yes - I picked up Malice and Mistborn at the exact same time. I read Mistborn and just kept giving side eye to Malice 🤣

Lol! Poor Malice. (But as far as first books go, you made the right choice, imo)

i bought the girl with the dragon tattoo then sort of forgot about it and lost interest but i see that it keeps coming up and everyone raves about it, i'll have to read it at some point, nice vid :-)

Not sure if it fits your “series must be done” requirement. The first 3 by the original author you could put on ur TBR tho! 😆 It’s unclear if the new author extension of it is done or not.

@@BookBuds i would definitely consider the first 3 as its own series, haven't heard great things about the others! :-)

I read The Lake House by James Patterson (the sequel to When the Wind Blows, though I didn't know that when I read it) and I didn't like it. Though I should try to read the first book and see if I enjoy it. I've enjoyed the few other Patterson books I've read in the past. I couldn't get into The Book Thief as well! I've DNFed it twice, lol. I just don't like the perspective of death. And my fiancé is forcing me to read Malice by John Gwynne next month, lol, so I hope I enjoy it! Really enjoyable video!
