Hi Beth, I think most of the instructions I found were from around 2009, so it is certainly not a new product. I think a lot of people look at the packet and don't really know what to do with it. As far as I know, it is still readily available on-line. It is fun to play with especially as butterflies and dragonflies are so popular at present. Glenda

Years ago we used to just iron different cellophane with wire sandwiched between the layers for fairy wings. But you had to be very careful.

I think we are all the same. Something new inspires us to keep crafting and then we get to a point where we can't think what to do without something new. Recent budget restraints have meant that although I am still getting new things, it is on a much smaller scale and I find myself thinking about what I might really use. If I go to use something several times and don't have it, it makes it on the shopping list (and of course super specials are still a trap) :-) Glenda

Hi Joyce, I'm fairly sure I Googled the product when I made the video and the name hadn't changed then. It doesn't take a lot to have a good play. I must admit that I haven't used it since making the video, but that is usually the case. I do something to death and then don't touch it again for ages. Did a quick search and a site called polymerclay com au and another called artglitter com came up. Didn't check any prices. Glenda

Louise, I haven't seen mixed packs myself. The ones I got were $2.50 and then 50% off. Even at full price that wasn't bad, but it doesn't actually go very far. It's not really something I would use a lot of, more have a play and put it away again. Glenda

Glenda, I found both fantasy film and Angelina Film. I guess that is why I thought it had changed names. I get excited about something I see on KZitem and just have to have it. By the time I get it, I have fallen in love with something else and I am off in pursuit of another product. HA HA

Hi Tracy, Thanks for subbing. artglitter is one company that makes it. Sadly a Google search brings up movies as well which makes the searching more difficult but it is out there. Glenda

An alternative to fantasy film is dicroish film, it seems similar, slightly thinner, and could be used in the same manner, not sure though, but it's a type of film, you can get it from a resin site, can't remember it, but it's yellow something dot com. Anyhow, worth a shot if fantasy film is no longer available.

Sorry it wasn't clear. This was one of my earliest videos. Don't know if they've improved as I do prefer to have music, but hopefully now it's not too loud.

Hi Glenda. Great video. I just found it. I only have a sampler pack of Fantasy Film to play with but I think I can get enough from it to do a couple of small stamps. I remember looking for larger packages of it, at one time. I think they have changed the name because every time I googled Fantasy Film, it came up with another name. anyway, I will try it again.

Yeah.. if you google “fantasy film” or even “fantasy film Angelina” you get movies starring Angelina Jolie. I worry about this resource disappearing from stores because of poor marketing. No offense meant to anyone in charge of that…. I’m just saying it’s an excellent craft supply and I’d hate to see them stop making it due to lack of revenue because people can’t find it. Another issue is there are no instructions the package. People need to know what they can do with it- even if the examples are dippy it still helps give people ideas.

I think the fantasy film is slightly different to cellophane. It does behave differently. Glenda

I'm looking for something to make crystal flat backs iridescent, and I think this is the right stuff. Can you tell me if you've used this fantasy film over glass? I'm concerned about it not staying flat - I'm basically trying to make the crystal flat backs look like sunglass lenses.

Hi Levon, sorry I haven't tried anything like this. I would suggest a small experiment to see if it does what you want. It's possible that one of the embossing powders with mica might work, or try to get a small piece of the stuff they tint windows with. Glenda

Yes, yes, I was just saying that comment, not implying anything.
