Such an underrated game... My favorite Far Cry game, and the soundtrack is amazing. If you read this, buy Primal and club some cave men and critters in the face!!!

@@balazskozma6773 I'd strongly recommend playing on survival mode hard without permadeath. survival mode made this game whole imo, and hard mode makes you reconsider your approach a few times as bullrush power trip fantasies are snuffed out like a fire arrow shot into water. permadeath is a real and true bitch to play with though, bullshit deaths happen quite a lot until you know the engine's quirks (which should take you a bit if you're unfamiliar with other fc titles), and the beginning drags on for ages once you have done it 5-6 times. if you decide to go for it, I wish you a great time! but if you're interested, I'll list some tips I could really have used when starting out: - remember using sting bombs, they're absolute lifesavers and not expensive at all (bees hone in on enemies and from what I gathered, largely leave their hostages alive so you can free them unharmed; but really, they're absolutely brutal tools whenever multiple people stand close by to each other) - remember to use traps as they do tons of damage and are piss cheap. in boss- and other tough fights, against animals, to cover your back in enclosed spaces etc. they're borderline op as they not only kill most enemies instantly, they have an area of effect letting you double, very occasionally even tripple kill with them. - use berserk shards for distraction: when you're detected and in a situation you don't like, just berserk a few archers, spear throwers, or better yet, a heavy or two, and you'll have time to craft/heal/retreat. - and lastly: know your (ridable) animals. bears are a bit slower and tend to die quicker in battle as they draw enemy attacks (which can be a good thing as you can get the drop on enemies). you can ride them through water though, and if you're standing idle, it'll collect stuff for you and it will even slowly heal itself without needing a body to munch on like most other animals. sabretooths are faster (a lot faster on their own and a bit faster to ride), stronger, and last longer in combat (mostly due to them being faster and not specifically drawing attacks). thing is, they die the instant they're too deep in water, there's no more saving them as soon as water touches their nose - all other large cats are the same, the sabretooth is just the only animal you can drown yourself by accidentally riding into water (never give a movement input toward water while dismounting, you won't be able to stop it and it may very well die the second you're on the ground). usually beast ai doesn't commit suicide but it does happen sometimes (drowning itself, running into fire, throwing themselves off cliffs, I've seen some bs lol). it's also harder to tame a new sabretooth than a bear. just be careful around water if you have a kitty with you, believe me, it'll spare you loads of frustration. I also wouldn't dismiss an animal if it's below half health - it's not consistent but I've had quite a few animals die even though I dismissed them before they died; ever since I fed them to above half health before dismissing, this hasn't happened. very general animal advice: use the animals you like most and that are relatively easy to replace should some bs happen, white wolves, regular jaguars and cave lions, brown bears etc. are very useful in most situations and aren't hard to find at all. I rambled on for long enough, I think lol hope I could spare you at least one unnecessary death and may you have fun in oros, piss man! :D

If I had to describe this game, it'd be the wilderness, adventurous, and unknown part of far cry 3 all mixed into one game and put on steroids, then bring it back in time 12,000 years. Only difference is you aren't a white boy going insane, you're a native. The wilderness is your life. The dense foilage, the animals, and how untouched the world was before human settlement -- it's really just a masterpiece.
