Do I understand correctly that the French are OK with the fact that in 2014 the Nazis came to power, who banned not only Russian schools, but also Hungarian and Tatar and others? Are the French OK with the fact that peace agreements were signed twice under their guarantees of peace, according to which Kiev did not fulfill a single point? Are the French OK with the fact that in Odessa they burned alive more than 50 people who disagreed with the military coup in the house of trade Unions on May 2, 2014 and with the fact that no one has been arrested yet, although there are hundreds of videos with the faces of those who set fire to the house and then finished off those jumping out with sticks? Are the French OK with the fact that Ukraine dropped bombs on a children's beach in Zugres, signing bombs "all the best for children"? Are the French OK with how dissenting politicians and journalists were killed, how all opposition media and parties in Ukraine were banned? Is this, in the opinion of the French, democracy? And when the Crimeans separated from such a Ukraine, held a referendum on the annexation of Crimea to Russia and Russia accepted them, knowing what sanctions would be imposed on it - is this not democracy? Russian Federation has three official languages in Crimea (Russian, Ukrainian and Tatar), and Ukraine had only Ukrainian, although 90% of the population there are Russians? I will tell you why the French are sending weapons to the Ukrainians, preventing them from concluding new peace agreements. You want to kill as many Russians and Ukrainians as possible, and then command on their land, as you did in Africa. This is the real truth. Don't lie to yourself.

There are many possible reasons why former US President Donald Trump could go to prison, depending on the outcome of the various legal cases he is facing. Here are some of the most likely ones, based on the current information available: Mishandling classified files: Mr Trump is accused of keeping and showing classified documents to unauthorized people, such as guests at his resorts. This is a serious breach of national security and could result in up to 10 years in prison for each count. Falsifying business records: Mr Trump is accused of inflating and deflating the value of his assets to avoid taxes and obtain loans. This is a felony under New York state law and could result in up to four years in prison for each count. Obstructing an official proceeding: Mr Trump is accused of trying to interfere with the certification of the 2020 election results by pressuring officials, spreading false claims, and inciting the Capitol riots. This is a federal crime and could result in up to 20 years in prison. Conspiracy against the rights of citizens: Mr Trump is accused of violating the civil rights of voters by attempting to disenfranchise them and prevent their votes from being counted. This is also a federal crime and could result in up to 10 years in prison. These are just some of the potential reasons why Mr Trump could go to prison, but there may be others that are not yet public or have not been filed. It is important to note that these are only allegations and Mr Trump has denied any wrongdoing. He has also claimed that the cases are politically motivated and part of a "witch hunt" against him. Whether he will actually go to prison or not will depend on the evidence, the jury, the judge, and the appeals process. It is also possible that he could receive a pardon from a future president or negotiate a plea deal to avoid jail time. However, as of now, he faces a significant legal threat that could affect his political future and his personal freedom.

Tucker Carlson is right in his assessment. The fact that even after 10 years of sanctions and heavy Sanctions against Russia by the combined west following Russia's annexation and invasion of crimea and ukraine, russian economy remains intact and resilient means it is a real success. The world needs to compare what happened to Venezuela, a country with largest oil resources in the world, following western sanctions and what is happening in Russia. Inflation in Venezuela is rampant whereas the same is within manageable level in Russia. This indicates that Inflation and appreciation and depreciation of currencies are artificially controlled by the combined west. The west must understand that they can't hold on to such tactics for long. The truth is Russia is capable of withstanding the western onslaught whereas other third world countries like Venezuela don't have the resources and guts to face the western threats.

Yes, those of us who are educated to think rationally and critically are sure because we can separate professional journalism (i.e. Fareed) from disingenuous pandering to a vulnerable audience (I.e. Tucker, Sean, Laura). If you can convince 'us' that the guests on Fox, OAN, etc have bona fides that supersede those of the guests on CNN, MSNBC, etc, we'll listen respectfully. @franklin9400

Carlson didn't interview Putin. He went there to deliver a message from Putin. That is not called a journalism. It's called working for Russian ministry of foreign affairs.

Liked this opinion piece. He’s a good writer. I liked the way he describes American cities as messy but a creative well spring of innovation and new ideas. As Rome was to Italy New York is to America

Imagine any American conservative unfavorably comparing a city like New York to Moscow forty years ago. Reagan would be lurching in disgust. Sure, all cities have their ups and downs, but Fareed hit the nail on the head here.

I think like many other things, this is also the matter of perspective. For an average citizen who hates being late often and look bad and wants to plan her days efficiently, on-time transportation is important, because it signals some sort of respect for the citizens by the authorities.
