This is an oscilloscope deconstruction of Farewell from Mega Man Battle Network 3.
Notes:
Unlike the previous two ending themes (End Roll and Peace Again), which are composed with a long intro which is not repeated, followed by a short loop, Farewell has no intro and is composed solely of an unusually long loop.
However, the first loop is not identical to the subsequent loops. As far as I can tell, there are a few minor differences.
First, at the beginning of square 1, the first loop has a few notes play on both sides at once, while subsequent loops have them only on the right or left. Again, this only happens with a couple of notes, so the effect is hardly noticeable.
In addition, the timbre of the second instrument played in PCM 1 (can be heard at 0:30 - 0:46 and 5:09 - 5:25) sounds ever so slightly different in the first loop. I believe this is because of a slight tremolo effect which is added in later loops but absent from the first one.
What do you think of this deconstruction? Let me know in the comments.
