Thanks for keeping us up to date with farming practicalities as well as tech. I wish we’d had that hitch years ago it would have saved some aggro! Bring back stubble burning!

The cracks in the ground remind me of 1976. Light land at Orford in Suffolk was looking similar with sugar beet hardly 6 inches across the leaves.. Countryside looking very dry

Good update. I love technology and would be interested to see how the quick hitch stands the test of time.

That quick hitch is ingenious.

I have to disagree for 2 main reasons. 1 - it moves the load point of the hitch further back, which is going to exaggerate any load.. or to put it another way, will make the front end very light 2 - if you manage to turn too tight, normally the first point of contact is the comparably soft rubber of the rear tyre a considerable way down the drawbar. The first point of contact on that is cast steel on steel, and with a short lever point/significantly higher load. Something is going to bend or break and when it does you won't have the reactionary time of, for instance, feeling the wheels chafe. It'll be gone before you even know its happened

I'd be very interested to see how that hitch holds up under heavy load. A full load of anything would surely have the front wheels in the air moving the hitch point so much further behind the rear wheels. It would also concern me trying to turn or reverse round tight corners, you can feel the rear tyres rub against the drawbar, to me it seems you can't even see if thats close to full lock! Good bit of kit for the right lightweight setup, but I'd be interested to see how it hold up to the abuse of a less than capable operator

Hitch looks good but it’s durability needs to be proved. Soils differ across the field but they all need a way through for water and air for root penetration

Hi Andrew, good video again mate, one thing I’d like to touch on, You was saying the beginning of the video about the wildlife, I’m not sure if your saw bbc breakfast this morning and they was talking about the lack off insects this year, and the way they tested for this was called the splat test, they got people to clean there number plates and drive for a while then count the dead insects on there number plates! What a load off tosh! I live in the far west off Cornwall and I’ve seen more swarms off bees this year than I ever have. Moan over 😂

Hi Andrew do you think it would be worth a try with the agrifac weed camera for the black grass
