I’m at Nfu council yesterday and today and it’s being discussed. Tough times at the moment and with the lack of crops in the ground, they’ll be a shortage of straw next winter.

Just want to say, what a great role model you are Andrew! Especially with the R&R breaks to Portugal, people really do need to get off their farms and have a break every now and again.

Funny you mention Skegness, I worked for Jim epton years ago through velcourt and my mate kiwi Mike came over to see us and wanted a lift over to get down to Cambridge. He rang the train line and said can I get a train from" Snakes nest" down to Cambridge! Mother was in raptures " no Mike its Skegness" he repeated in his strong kiwi accent "Snakes nest" !!! Great footage from the docks! Thanks Andrew

@@WardysWaffleAndrewWard it’s pretty much the same as loading but opposite way round, they load the back into Lorrie’s and drop the bobcat in the ship to finish off but the bobcat is fully cabbed so the driver Is dust free.

All losses and repairs to the fields are the farmers responsibility but Defra have announced the Flood Recovery Fund but the amount a farmer can claim is only a fraction of what’s been lost.

Well, FWIW Olly Harrison has been cleaning and relaying drains on his land, which clearly is making a difference. To get the whole story you'd need to start watching his daily videos from about 23rd March 2024 until now. TL;DW of this is that he's using a ditcher and an excavator to clean channels and to lay new drain pipes. Interesting to see how they use grabs to load a "small bulk carrier".

Please dont call the ship a boat By definition, a boat is “a vessel for transport by water,” “a small ship,” or “a vessel of any size built for navigation of rivers or inland bodies of water.” In casual use, the word boat is used to refer to any vehicle used to travel on the water-anything from a canoe to an ocean liner. In this kind of casual and general usage, the word boat is often used to refer to watercraft of all sizes and types, as you can see in the variety of terms that include the word, such as sailboat, motorboat, fishing boat, rowboat, tugboat, paddleboat, and lifeboat. In contrast, the word ship is typically reserved to refer to a large, ocean-faring vessel propelled by multiple sails or engines.
