Always liked the Farmall Cub. My grandfather had to tractors at the time when he passed. My cousin got the Farmall cub and eventually I ended up with the Allis Chalmers that's on my profile picture. I was too big for the Farmall. My knees kept hitting the wheel. I keep that picture on there as a constant reminder that I got to get it running. So close. You've got a grin ear-to-ear when you're on that tractor.

Danny talking about picking corn and processing it in small batches makes me think that if people don't have a lot of time to dedicate to the harvest of their garden, they will need to stagger the planting so not all the crop comes ready at once. I guess said another way, plan your planting by the time it takes the plant to mature and how much you can harvest at once. You may not want the whole garden to become ready at once.

Good morning, Danny & Wanda. Love getting out in early morning to work before it gets hot. Sure envy you with your good soil and ability to work it with the Cub. I have a couple of questions for you this morning. 1. I didn't know Blue Lake beans could be saved. Aren't they a hybrid? Are the other popular varieties able to be saved for seed also? 2. Have you tried other varieties of bush beans that are not so common? I did my own field test years ago with all the popular varieties of beans that I could find in the little packets in the hardware, feed stores, etc. I found one that I had never heard of called "Derby". They were all planted the same day and grew in identical conditions. Of course, those packets only had a few seeds, so I had only short rows of 5 different varieties. The Derby was by far the winner in production and pickability. I had never experienced such healthy plants. The leaves were thick(almost leathery) and dark green. They produced and produced and produced. Made me wonder why they were such a secret that I had to accidently find and try them. Do you have any experience with this variety? They were our only been for the following years until my wife's passing. Looking forward to your answers. Thanks in advance.
