I’m just getting ready to watch all these. I just bought a 57 450 and I’m thinking they’re fairly similar. I know I’ll learn a few things and then hopefully I can apply them to my ol’ tractor. I’ve seen how it turns out and it is just amazing. Thanks for your time putting these together

Still remember my granddaddy was still using an old M to plow and disk the fields up until the 70's with it. He was a tractor mechanic, so he kept it running well. Even let a guy use it once in a pull. Very strong built tractor.

Nice to see it going in the shop for overhaul. After the rebuild and getting the inside clean 15w40 runs really really well in a fresh tractor. When I worked in a machine shop that built a LOT of old gas and diesel engines we filled with and recommended 15w40 on all our rebuilds. If that M goes another 70 years on a rebuild, none of us will be alive for the next rebuild.

I truly believe in my heart that it is more tractor than the new one. It will look nice even if you don't rattle can it, the original paint adds to the value as what there is left will buff to a better clean look but paint won't pull a plow and so just get the motor to behave

Seeing the Super M back into the shop reminded me of back in the old days of early 20th century, it was common to reuse small animal barns as implement storage. My great uncle told me of trying to back a rake in with a John Deere and hand clutch. The roof line came at mid back level, and his back would nearly touch the roof when the rake was in position. However, one day the positive inertial feedback from the hand clutch during reverse caused him to run his back into the shed roof. Luckily the steering wheel bent and he only cracked a rib.

The Super M repair would have been a very interesting video to watch. However we understand you cannot be at two places at once. The ol' tractor has been performing sterling service in the videos and we would like to know more about it. What was the model year, when was it built? How long has it been in the family? Has it gone through any major repairs in the past, etc. In New Zealand I have not seen any Farmall tractors (but I know of the make), in the old scene there are Massey Fergusons, Fordsons and Fords.
