Farmhouse Style Wooden Beaded Cake Riser Stand, Handmade . .
In this video I make this simple wooden cake riser stand using some wooden beads, plywood, and a 2x4.
I used 3/4" finished plywood for the top of the riser stand. I drew out a 16" diameter circle on some leftover plywood amd cut it out using a band saw. Then I used my table router to route the edge for the wooden beads.
I strung the 3/4" beads onto some jute twine using an extra long needle, tied a knot at one end, then tied them around the edge of the plywood circle. Then I just glued them into place.
I also cut some 2" thick strips off a 2x4 at a 15 degree angle to create some angled base pieces, and glued them on.
I found the wooden beads here: amzn.to/2xkiqG5
Some other materials I used were:
Gorilla Wood Glue: Lowe's, Walmart, or amzn.to/3drcX0F
Angle Tool: amzn.to/2WP9zah
Jute Twine: Walmart or amzn.to/2JciU3B
