I am 70 and my uncles in the RRV used 12-foot-wide equipment and 3 bottom plows. Times have changed a lot.

Worked a lot of acres with a multi-weeder. We had a neighbor bury his JD planter this spring. I don't know what happened but when I saw it the one wing was twisted 90 degrees & the row units were vertical instead of horizontal. They ended taking the wing off & hauling the wing away. They pulled the rest of the planter out the next day. I'm glad I wasn't the one driving.

We had a 36 foot multiweeder in the 1970’s in southern MN. We also would turn up the teeth and turn the drag around to make a great drag. Great to hear from you again. God is good all the time

Hope you have a good planting season. We're having an unusual wheat harvest season in Western OK. We've had a lot of interruptions due to rain.

Just planting corn or is that clip a few weeks old? Midwest here... still trying to fathom a friend that moved to Texas that's combined wheat two weeks ago. Cool vid, inspirational!

Yep, technology changes. I remember back in the 70s hoeing 1/2 section bean fields with a 10ft hoe.

We had a 50ft Kovar "Clodfather" (best tillage tool name ever?) in the 80s simliar to the Multiweeder maybe built a bit heavier. We used it to incorporate Eradicane and Treflan/Sonolan. Pulled it with an IH 4366 and later a JD 8650. (Quite an upgrade!)

Interesting! We incorporate Sonalan before sunflowers and pinto beans!

Is there a reason you don’t use a field cultivator (digger)? We farm right outside of fargo and we swear by it
@beetfarminmitch

We do use a field cultivator. Each tool has its time and use, we use field cultivators before crops like pinto beans as we really need to eliminate weed pressure.
