This is what us yacht rock fans call “Yacht Jesus/Ark Rock” and it is good stuff.

I remember when we played this in youth group, everyone trying to do the "rap" portion without taking a breath,

I remember hearing this on "The eternal rock show", a CCM segment on a local christian radio station. It certainly stood out as a different sound from the rest of the songs at the time. Still enjoy it.

Today, my dream sequence ended with the Altarboys and this song. I like to think/interpret the connection of what God is dramatizing while I'm sleeping 😂 I wish you could have seen it!! And maybe you will someday😉 but for now, here's how it reads 😴 We have some new clients in an exclusive part of town. But my crew is new & I have to keep a close eye on them. The 1st place needs some debris burned but some plastic garbage winds up in there. Uhg! I add more brush to make it roar so as to burn it quick. The 2nd place doesn't need anything. They've hired us to keep up with the Jones's? But they do it themselves before we get there because they can't stand the embarrassment of even the grounds crew seeing a mess. "Ok... Let's fake rake around & mow some lines." I say. The 3rd place is on a steep hill of mostly a 4 to 5 storied house. But the family wants us to make it more elf & pixie friendly? "Well, let's make some miniature gardens & plate sized ponds with humming bird feeders on all the trees. Those little guys & gals need to feed their rides, right?" (Those can be serviced weekly😉) The 4th house is on the top of an overlook, looking over the valley we drove thru & a man made lake on the other side. But this is a treacherous hillside of mostly large rocks. So I suggest we make terraced paths & plant small trees to keep it from eroding & also keep the view. I also suggest a fish ladder from the bottom to the top with garden art fish sculptures making their way up, giving the impression of environmentalism. Maybe real fish will notice from the ditch under the driveway & try it out. 😮 🎶Alterboys - YOU'VE found me kzitem.info/news/bejne/kqaw14yBiqx7ppg My Interpretation: Even the wealthy have problems, needing something to fill the void of everything they've got. But "all we need is Jesus" by Farrell & Farrell kzitem.info/news/bejne/2nqA4KOIjWJ1eGU

The "theology", rather than being "toxic", is fairly relevant and engaging and healing. Just substitute "Travolta" for Beyonce, and LGBTQ for "ERA", and you have a 2020 hit throwback song. Hey, if Bruno Mars can do it, why not Farrell and Farrell?

The theology is absolutely toxic, but the music is so good! Lol. The 70s were such a creative time for music. The "angelic" part at the end always cracks me up! Good memories of listening to this on vinyl as a kid... :)

I would love to hear why the message is toxic. Jesus is the root of all peace, and all truth. Unfortunately his followers don’t usually get to a point where they treat people the way they should be. This includes me, I’m human, I treat people to my own interpretation of how I believe Jesus would be. if you’ve learned you don’t need Jesus or you need a little extra something, perhaps you were dealing with an imposter? I’m very intrigued by what you meant by this.-God bless!
