I wish she would write a full fledged autobiography; she's so learned, has such varied talents & interests, and is just absolutely fascinating - AND FUNNY!

Margaret Atwood uses her knowledge of fashion and women's handwork in many ways through out her novels

I love the way she describes the clothing worn by characters in detail and doesn't drop designer labels.

I remember the maxi coats with mini skirts underneath in 1970. I was too young for the maxi coats but only wore the mini skirts in summer. The fashion didn't stay around for long.

I have no idea what these people are raving on about (I've never read her books) and it seems like nonsensical gibberish most of the time but Atwood can be funny. I'm not a fan of fantasy so I do wish she'd apply her humor differently and write a straight comic novel.
