*A video idea:* During this video you said that I should probably know the name of the brand of the bag at 20:45, but I haven't heard of it before (along with many other cool or interesting brands I'm sure). So would you consider making a video of your favourite brands that we should know if we don't already? Possibly for different categories of brands (shoes only, bags only, mixed etc.)?

Given she’s a New Yorker, I couldn’t quite believe she name dropped Clark’s and never realised she was born in England😂😶 that brand has a reputation for grannies and primary school shopping- but I’ve always bought from them as they’re well made, half sizes and do basics well. Such a “non-influencer” brand name drop👍🏻

Clark’s is a very British brand, mostly associated with primary school shopping (everybody goes there to have their feet measured as a child!) and the older generation because of their association with comfort and being “well made/ affordable”- couldn’t believe that non-influencer name drop😂😭, but she explains its because her dad is Jamaican-British and she was born in London (which I didn’t realise before that mention!)... I have been straight sized and plus sized and the number one thing you get in plus sized advice is "avoid baggy pants they make you look sloppy." Funny how they don't make you look sloppy when you're a smaller size, huh? I appreciate Paloma pushing back against that and going to the men's section if she has to. Those Carrhart work pants looked high end because of all the stitching and the stiff denim. They looked better than the D&G pants, imho. I would have guessed Edwin or something, but nope: men's section work pants. I'm so tired of brands that aren't size inclusive and vintage makes it ten times harder. But if you are willing to wear men's clothes and have them tailored you'd be golden. Her waist size is very common in menswear. Love her and loved this review.

Absolutely obsessed with her and all her fits. Being a fellow plus size girl, it's always amazing to see women dressing less conventionally. I love that she's not boxed in to a certain aesthetic that a lot of plus size models are. It's so refreshing and inspiring for my own fashion choices 🙌🏾😍

I see where you are going there. At first I thought that it was kind of a discriminative statement but I reread it and actually it makes sense. The celebration of plus size women is very new and I guess that before those women had to struggle more to find outfits that fitted them and especially as models they have to know and appreciate the fashion and designers and have knowledge about it working with so many creators. So what I mean is they know what they are talking about because it has been a process and, to me, they had to put more thoughts and work to it as curvier girls

New to this channel but been binging like mad, so if anyone can point one out please do, but was wondering if there's been a video discussing "high" fashion in relation to lower income people. There's a lot of talk of big brands and haute couture, which I completely understand is the main focus of someone well versed and interested in fashion, and I see the argument for spending more on longer lasting pieces, but for a lot of folks on a particular income who aren't investing solely in fashion that's a difficult thing to achieve and balance day to day who. So either a discussion on luxury vs quality (or maybe inequality) or just a rundown of affordable and "fashionable" brands that don't land in the despised high street, harmful-impact brands like Zara or H&M that are oft mentioned would be great
@sarahtaylor4264

You would be surprised what you can find through resale. I've never found a high end big name designer piece, but I have found plenty of brands known for quality in good condition for affordable prices. It takes more time and effort to build a wardrobe, but it's worth it. The most expensive item in my closet is nearly $400 new, but I got it for just over $20. It was a bit of a thrift splurge, but I LOVE it.

Even though Paloma is touted as a plus-sized super model. I think she actually wears larger straight sizes, because she often wears and walks for brands like Marni who only go up to a size 10 US. I totally understand your argument about not giving designers like Dolce & Gabbana business because of their shitty beliefs, but we have to also recognize they are one of the only top designers that make true plus-sizes. Us plus-sized gals that love designer fashion don't have the same choices that everyone else does, so we have to navigate that the best we can.
