Introducing the Fashion Values Cultures Challenge finalists and winners!
This year’s challenge called on next generation changemakers from around the world to respond to a question with radical, transformational ideas where cultures, heritage and rituals create social and environmental wellbeing.
Their project submissions responded to the question, how can fashion value cultures of well-being?
The Fashion Values Cultures Challenge emergent finalists include Kayleigh Parkes and Adityakumar Shrimali. The professional finalists include Micaela Clubourg and Paola Chavero Romero from Design for Cultural Collaboration (DCC) and Sol Escobar from Give Your Best. The emergent winner is Hannah Lauren Riley and the professional winner is Tina Wetshi, from Colèchi.
An international judging panel assessed the material before selecting the finalists and winners. Judges included representatives from Centre for Sustainable Fashion and Fashion Values partners including Kering, Global Fashion Agenda, Eyes on Talents, United Nations Environment Programme, Fashionomics Africa, Kamakura Sustainability Institute and THE REVIVAL.
Fashion Values is a sustainability education programme developed by Centre for Sustainable Fashion in collaboration with Kering, IBM, Vogue Business, Global Fashion Agenda, and Eyes on Talents. The Fashion Values partners bring together a network of sustainability experts, fashion professionals, educators, academics and students from across the fashion system.
