Excellent upload . No faff , no waffle , just straight to the point, simple advice . Also , like the music which accompanied your upload . A gentle low level track , which doesn't distract from the point of thee upload . Excellent 👍. Have subbed .

Thanks for making this video. I'm going to try to propagate mine. One thing I'm curious about is why not skip the first step and cut stems shorter from the beginning since they will be shortened in the next step?

Thanks for watching! The moment any cutting is taken from the main plant, it is essentially dying. By taking longer cuttings we’re reducing the speed at which is dies, giving us the time to prepare them. If however, you have your containers ready, then you can take smaller cuttings to start with and put them in to water immediately. Good luck with your propagation let me know how it goes 👍

How long from the time it's potted until you put it in the ground? Also how often do you have to water it in the pot?
@easy.gardening
2 ай бұрын
Once your Buddleja has rooted, you can actually put it straight into the ground. Keep it well watered. However, if you’ve put it in a pot first, then just be sure it doesn’t dry out and you’ll be fine.

Hi, I followed your instructions but my cuttings have been sat in water for about 2 weeks now. It’s still very much alive, but no roots at all, can you help ?
@easy.gardening
2 ай бұрын
Hi, sure, here are a couple of recommendations 1. Change the water every two days to ensure a fresh supply 2. Make sure there are not too many leaves on your cuttings as this will slow down the growth 3. Keep your cuttings on bright window sill, but not in direct sunlight 4. If they are healthy and alive, try potting one or two cuttings in pots/container using a fresh potting mix and keep well watered I hope this helps
