I just tried this and it worked so well. I didn’t have any access to my normal tools, so this was just the creative method I needed. Thank you so much.

Glad it worked for everyone. I had these freaking low profile (but stock size) tires with a ridiculous sidewall (I learned they’re designed to drive up to 50 miles at 50 mph on a flat) and my little Hyundai Elantra didn’t weigh enough. As usual, here’s a foolproof 60 second fix that didn’t work for me. Story of my life

Just remove the air valve. Drive forward slowly a couple feet. The bead breaks. Done

I hate seeing these types of videos, all you need is a tire hammer and practice. People will go out of their way, risk damaging a car to break a bead they could easily break with a tire hammer if they simply commit to learning and don't get discouraged. This isn't a video for mechanics who do tires, this is a video for mechanics who avoid doing tires at all costs and won't have to break 30 beads a day like I've had too as a mobile mechanic.

@@BrianBalatbat buddy you can't fuck with me after i saw you risk damaging a car to break a fucking tire bead lol. the reason youll see more people on youtube breaking beads with tire hammers than the whole car like you did is cause thats actually outrageous. i dont have to make a video to give advice. anybody out there needs to avoid doing this and just aim the duck bill of the tire hammer at the bead. watch a couple of videos and youll break the bead in 2 seconds and avoid doing dangerous shit like this dude
