Agreed. Albert was a really good teacher. He listened to your problems, he always tried to help you even if you'd been only mean to him, and he chose to do the right thing even if it wasn't going to work out in his favor. He didn't care if you were white, or if you were a girl or if you were an old bag or some little kid, he thought you were cool all the same. He hung out in a junkyard after school, and outside his own family his community was very broken down. But he always made the best of it and found ways to keep spirits high. He wasn't always smart, or athletic, but he was wise and not afraid to try or fail new things. He taught us to bury the hatchet with enemies and try to respond to hate and violence with kindness. He was a walking example that we aren't perfect, and that's ok. You have to pick up the pieces and try to be better. Bill Cosby, his creator, made many mistakes with his life, but he did have some valuable lessons and I think that he communicated those best through fat albert. We need more people like Fat albert... He set an example, and people that followed it had a lasting impact in communities from all walks of life

I sure miss this show. They just don't make cartoons or kid's shows like this anymore. I ALWAYS looked forward to watching this EVERY Saturday morning and eating Rice Crispies. My late sister and I would watch this and Bugs Bunny and one that I just can't think of the name of. It was a crime fighting dog that was an expert at Karate. Then we would watch Soul Train and then we were OUT the door for the rest of the day to play and do all kinds of things. Those were some good days. I sure miss my late sister. I would give anything to get to see her and talk to her about those days so long ago during the 70's. I miss Christmas specials like this that had that classic Christmas sound and look. It always made me feel good to watch these Christmas specials and anticipate my family showing up and having a big dinner. Makes me hungry just thinking about how good all that food was. 🥺🤔😊
