I’m not a religious man by far but something about this man of God singing that song with the tone he sang in really got to me. I’m a grown man and I have tears streaming down my face and I have no idea why. I do know that there is something special about Father Ray Kelly and I strongly believe that he is in the right line of work.

So just everyone enjoy them while u have them life is very very short. Thank God we saw my brother at sisters funeral he lived in FL. so had not seen him in awhile. Hang in there. There will come a time when all those memories do not hurt quite as bad anymore and you will be able to think back on the years you had with your dad and smile. It will still hurt, but it will be a good anyway. I held my dying father's hand last year through two long nights. I will never forget the two last sentences he spoke to me. "What a beautiful day", he said, looking out of his window at the spring sunshine on the tree we planted together just 4 months earlier and later at night "Oh, me dear dear boy" when I helped him drink a sip of water. I still cry when I think of it, but each time it ends with smile and the tears become a little less bitter.

Beautiful job of a beautiful. I was most touched by the absolute silence when Father Kelly had finished singing. It was as though his rendition of REM's song had touched the hearts of everyone in the audience and put them in a state of introspection which they were reluctant to leave. Simon getting up and applauding broke the spell and the audience followed with their demonstration of appreciation.
