Awesome list Crystal! Thank you for so many awesome reading recommendations, so many of these are going on my tbr! Ah, I am dying to read Blackwater, heard so many good things. I cannot believe how Walk The Darkness Down looks like my t-shirt. I will definitely be reading more Poppy Z Brite in future. Edenville is on my radar for 2024! You are an authentic, shining light in the community and, to be honest, your soothing voice deserves more attention! Happy New Year!

thanks for reminding me that I still need to read Tristan Strong! I can't believe I forgot to mention Jeb as one of my fave characters! I think he would be good friends with Henry from a child alone with strangers. Great list! I have a few of these on my shelves and I feel inspired to get to them

Wow, you read sooooo many books in 2023 🙂. I really enjoyed this video, I just love the way you talk about books - your enthusiasm comes across very well. I already have a few of these books on my tbr but you've also given me a few new ones to add to it: Borne, Walk the Darkness Down and The Summer That Melted Everything. A book/author i'd never even heard of was Eddie Robson - Hearts of Oak. When you were talking about it I already thought it sounded super interesting....and then you mentioned the words "talking cat"! So, yes, I'm going to have to read that one too as well 🙂 Are you familiar with the author Jonathan Carroll? There was just something about the way you spoke about Hearts of Oak that made me think of his books. The one I'd specifically recommend is Outside the Dog Museum. I won't mention which of these books I've read and loved as I think I've previously told you, lol. My joint favourites of 2023 were Andy Marino's - It Rides A Pale Horse and Christy Aldridge's - The Breaking of Mona Hill. Wow! What a couple of amazing books they were 😮 I hope you read many more great books in 2024 📚📚🙂
