Thanks for the feedback. I don’t normally measure widths but may do that this time. 😃

Are those spline drive shafts, rather than the + section we've had until now? And are those beadlock wheels? Lovely little tyres might be nice on more scale 1/16 scale rigs.

Not sure about the shafts, but will check. The wheels are not headlock. The tyres are not glued either but they’re are very sticky so they don’t slip on the wheels. There’s no need to glue the tyres.

@@marciopereira1065 nice, I might grab a set. They're quite like the scx24 chevy tyres, no?

@@itsjustcam247the tyres on the new FCX24M are 0.8 inch, so smaller than the ones on the FCX24 Chevy which are 1.0 inch.

@@marciopereira1065 what's their OD? It's nice to have a little variation in wheel size as well.

I have both of these same models. Trying to compare them is pointless. They are completely different beasts. The Blazer is at least 18th scale and the Disco is around 20th. Wheel size and portals etc give the Blazer a huge advantage before adding more weight to the roof of the Disco. No comparisons are really fair, but in this case, I think the closest you could get would be the stock Disco against a stock SCX24 Jeep JLU but with a similar hard body fitted. The chassis are so similar and overall trans layout. And obviously limit the Disco to 1st gear.

All these problems/test prove is that portals and bigger tires are useful, it doesn’t speak to an any of the chassis differences. This is a flawed comparison
