This is awesome!! Beautiful build, great surface finish. Overall well balanced look. :) Thank you for making this video:) Subscribed 🎉 Is your truck based on an Atlas or an FCX24? Just got into RC with a FCX24 and looking for options of how to mod it into a 6x6. I did not understand the details about the driveshafts. You got Atlas axis and SCX axis and modified with extra set of FMS axis to create the middle axis?

Thanks! I could do a short video showing how to do the pass through if that would help. Mine started as a stock FCX24 and most of the parts are FCX. The only atlas parts are the extension of the frame rails, the link mounts for the rear axle and the rear axle links.

I just uploaded a quick detail video covering how I built the pass through drive shaft. Check it out here: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xpx41HuKoHx_g5g

Not a fan of 6x6 in general but great job! Your lighting is on the back of the truck so it's hard to see the detail of that nice rust/chipping. I put a clear atlas body on my FCX24 and did a rust/patina. It looks VERY close to the FCX24 hard body. The proline is a joke in comparison. I have all three now.

Thanks! And yeah clearly my default work bench setup isn’t very good for filming because it faces a window. I think I’m gonna have to get a scale garage background to make it better. I started with the proline in my original idea and while I did a decent paint job, I just really prefer more detailed hard bodies. Which is why I’m glad FMS is making so many hard body 1:18s. The FCX24 is only 1/24 in wheelbase, the body is clearly 1/18.

@@TrailinAndScalin Hehe. Yeah I started with the proline too because it matched the 1/24 wheelbase best. The detail wasn't horrible for lexan, but the proportions are cartoonish. The FCX24 just had enough boxes checked for me to buy a 1/18 and correct/lengthen the wheelbase. I opted for the McCue links till I find something better. I often call it a FMS18 Powerwagon.

Hah, I also call it the FCX18! On the Furitek chassis in the background I'm likely going to run McCue links or maybe DIY something similar.

@@TrailinAndScalin The McCue don't articulate any better then stock. But the wheel base helps performance. 2FMRC has been consulting with Furitek on longer rear high clearance links with multiple shock mount positions. I'm impatiently waiting for them. lol

@@trailwomanrc awesome to hear the 2FMRC is encouraging Furitek to get on creating some better links. I really don’t understand why Treal and Furitek didn’t just do that automatically when they were making the FCX links they already sell.
