We could see the cicadas singing their song as an irritant and a problem and I can use it as an opportunity to explore my reactivity to things I don't prefer and can't control. So if I can practice being with the sounds and calm myself down, then I can apply that skill to bigger challenges. To quote SNL self help guru Stewart Smalley; "It's easier to put on a pair of slippers than to carpet the whole world" The cicadas are not a real threat. so it's a great thing to practice with, especially having you- Dan to be with us, teaching, . It's all good if I work it. Love you all, b

Boy, did I ever need this video today - fear levels high today.....I know I have to dial down the fear! My son and daughter in-law flew out West Wednesday night to visit my other son. I was so happy they were going....but then the worry started when their flight got delayed due to a Tornado warning. They are perfectly fine and I'm still a worried mess:(

I love the cicadas, it’s fascinating that a tiny insect can make such a big noise. I’m definitely going out and living life. Not letting symptoms stop me. But I am stuck in the focus on the discomfort. Months and months of feeling this knot of fear in my stomach have kept the symptoms in place. It’s very basic for me. Dialing down the fear will get me better. Great video, back to basics. I get it, i just haven’t found the feeling safe key.

Hi Dan the noice does not bother me at all. And nope fear and worry do not keep me safe. However I worry a lot about that old trauma that came back and always will come back I can't explain it sorry. It is something what i have for the rest of my life unfortunately. I have to accept it and learn to live with it. I find that extremely hard but working on it. 😊 Still in the forest sofar I only have seen a rabbit no deer or squirrel or even birds I hear them but don't see them even If I wear glasses 😂 oh well it is beautiful here. One more week to go 🎉ok love you Dan and everyone else a big hug and smile from me 😘😘😘

When you notice your thoughts going back to old traumas, calmly remind yourself that those traumas are in the past and that they cannot hurt you anymore and that you are safe NOW. And then do your best not to think about those old stories of trauma.

Hey Dan, I’ve been doing really well with the PDP stuff this week, but now I’ve started struggling with severe anxiety/panic attacks (which I’ve never had before and they’re quite scary) all of a sudden. I know you’ve talked about anxiety being a PDP/TMS equivalent in previous videos, but is the idea for me to take the same exact approach with anxiety as I would the pain? Am I missing anything important from your other videos? Thanks as always for the great videos and commitment to helping everyone through this stuff. Cicada noises add a nice to the background.

Begin telling yourself a different story about Mondays and Fridays. If the brain expects pain, it creates it. Your gut doesn't know what day of the week it is. But your brain does. It's a conditioned response. Two things to focus on. Your Expectations and your Response if the symptoms are there. kzitem.info/news/bejne/1HtpxZepcIuYdo4
