The quirk and eccentricity to this performance is top notch. The mermaid looking vocalist, the one stringed sounding guitar being played with drumsticks at times, the simple drum set, the strings, and William shatners intensity. Really quite amazing

Everyone, this is on an album they did together called "Fear of Pop". It is one of the most creative, bizarre and amazing albums ever. There is a song called "Rubber Sled", yes, a whole song about a rubber sled and some weird old storekeeperceho sells it to Ben Folds, this beautiful gem, a song that is the soundtrack for a police chase (complete with effects and voice clips "freeze asshole!"... It is awesome!!! The collaboration went so well that it led to Shatners album "Has Been", which is almost equally strange and incredible- all the music done by Folds. I am biased, as I love both of these men as artists and I used to listen to this with my brother and laugh and laugh all night long, while he was still in this world. Share Fear of Pop with someone you love!!!

I loved Ben Folds and the great Shatner for years, but only now have I realised that Donald Trump has based his life mimicking Will Shatner on this track. I mean in the way Trump delivers his speeches. Ben Folds should do a parody of this song with recent Trump speeches.
