Those ready made panels are terrible. The amount of those I have replaced over the years some that were quite new as well but the wind knocks them to bits. Great job mate.

Cheers, I gave up on basic panels...you can see right through some of them and in a couple of years they're not even good for kindling. There are good panels but I find feather edge easier to get around problems...and avoids digging the old concrete out, hopefully.

Yea, usually too busy and can't compete on price for the guys on it all the time, plus digging holes is no fun. Postmix definitely needs working in, just tip in leaves too many voids, even finished it off with a trowel...knew I was on camera😂

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd marvellous . And I just got all the gear. Even an auger . I was thinking this the other day at a customer as a gardener/horticulturalist mainly and remembering watching professional full time fencing guys doing the work how long it would take me, what I’ll charge etc. I think yes it probably has to be for current customers and maybe small sections etc

My late father used to take on horrendous fencing jobs half a mile down a garden through a garage etc …. He liked the close board fencing and insisted the nails were all knocked in a straight line …had his obligatory spacing block ( not as fancy as yours ) he used to put the rails up with 4 inch nails until I showed him a dewalt impacter ….great job on yours …👍

Thanks, it's the DeWalt first fix nailer up to 90mm nails, not sure if they just make second fix ones now that take smaller nails. They're all great to use tho👍

Hi, it's the DeWalt first fix which will take up to 90mm nails, not sure if they still make first fix ones. I've heard mixed reviews on them but mine has been faultless. Wouldn't do a fence without one now. Good luck with which ever one you go for, it is handy to be able to fire up to 90mm with one so bear that in mind. Cheers for watching 👍

Hi, thanks for the reply. So that first fix nail gun also does small nails for the feather edge boards as well? Cheers

Yea it takes the smaller one too, only adjustment needed it the depth setting, too much power will drive a 35mm board nail straight through 😬

Great job. Have you noticed as time is going by everything is getting more cheaply made . Wood is getting thinner. Quality is getting poorer. Tools don’t last. Very professional job

Lovely bit of fencing there. You've done more than one a year too be that good. I wish this was the fencing we've been doing. There's a new type of fencing. From a company called screen with envy. If anyone asks you too put some up. Jump in the van and drive till the wheels fall off. Or people speak another language

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd yes it's horrible too work with. Because it comes flat packed. In a six by four aluminium panel there's twenty eight screws and no pre drilled hole and no instructions because the company hasn't gotten around printing them yet. The post's are about four inches square with a base plate with four anchor points that have too be concreted in the ground because the post sits ground level. And the pretty lattices work on the gate's you have too weave yourself. 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

@@LewisgardenservicesLtd this is the third fence now but what confusing is the company makes seven types of fencing gates and accessories. So the customer picks what they like and then the company sends hinges and brackets and screws for fencing that might go with yours or not. It's the ultimate IKEA challenge and no instructions.
