But bars are also found at the mouth of the river , if the influx of river water didn’t allow the spit to join the two landmasses then how can the influx of river water allow a bar to join the two landmasses.?

The flow of water from the river current prevents a spit from forming a bar (sometimes called a barrier beach). You may be confused with an off-shore bar which may form out at sea where a river exits and deposits load; this is partly formed from river deposition. My video is about coastal deposition.

it moves sediment in a zigzag shape because the swash moves it back (in the direction of the prevailing wind) and the backwash moves it vertically back towards the sea, creating a zigzag-like movement
