Strict Gun Control Laws limit gun violence. This can be proven by looking at the statics where gun control laws exists in other countries, some have less than 12 deaths per year, while the US reportedly has a range of 19K to nearly 40K deaths per years due to gun violence or accidents. It is not unreasonable. Gun is quite literally a dangerous weapon.

This governor is full of frijoles. She, like other Democrats, cannot legitimately claim to be interested in public safety when they are the ones who refuse to keep those who ARE capable of violence behind bars for the safety of the rest of us. I also live in a leftist state, and virtually every case of homicide ends with the reporter saying and the suspect has a long history of violent crime. To add insult to injury, when those violent people are again violent the governor doesn't call for keeping violent people locked up but rather even more gun controls in one of the most gun controlled states in the USA. They've virtually destroyed the three strikes law in this state, and violent people are again being let loose by the thousands.

There's an oath of office to uphold and defend the Constitution. Second Amendment has been twisted gun lobby (gun maker and gun sellers) for personal gun ownership. They generate a revenue of $70 billion in 2021, a large motive. And they don't care who gets killed, long as they get their money. 2nd Amendment's historical context: The U.S. was still relying heavily on militias in 1791. The Constitution granted the government power to fund a military for common defense of the nation, since 1789. The recruitment process would take years and in 1795, they repealed the Militia Act of 1792. This basically neutered the 2nd Amendment and also done by the people who wrote the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, the Founding Fathers. To fulfill all the necessary text of the Second Amendment today, all you need to do is join the National Guard (a well-regulated militia) or military to bear arms, for the common defense of the United States. What you'll notice, people who want guns but don't want to fulfill the responsibilities of bear arms, using the Second Amendment for personal gun ownership. Irresponsible gun owners who are just using 2nd Amendment to own guns for personal use.

Why not say the people opposing her order or something else. But no, you have to practically insult them by using that one term. And least Natalie said "different groups" (five of them), for a bit, not piling them all into Gun Advocates like Jessica. But then at the end you had to call them all Gun Advocates again. Her statement of "status quo", would indicate that she refuses the current laws within and about the State of New Mexico and furthermore the laws within and about the United States of America; established subsequently by the laws and regulations of the said State and Country. She is not upholding her Oath to Office of the Governor of New Mexico.

Immediate arrest by the Sheriff of the county, taken to jail as any other criminal to await trial by a jury of her peers, then conviction and sent to the New Mexico Sate Prison for women!! I feel this action would be appropriate considering the crime committed. If the sheriff of that county would agree to deputize me I would travel at my expense to book her into the jail for Free!!!

Why doesn't the governor push for the laws that are already on the books to be enforced? Or to remove judges that allow violent criminals back onto the street over and over again? No, that would make too much sense. Her grand idea is to punish law abiding citizens that aren't doing anything wrong in the first place instead of the criminals that continue to wreak havoc on our communities.

I still can't figure out the reason she did this. Completely confused at why a lawful citizen has to be vulnerable to an attack by criminals. Especially elderly or someone who has physical disabilities that would prevent them from resisting an assault where their only possible line of defense is a firearm. Baffled, 🤔

@@shibosuru I think her judgement is impared. Seriously. Now she is trying to say this action was good because it brought people to thinking about "solutions". Twist and turn. What I do feel is that this has exposed the Legislatures lack of action over many decades. The Prog Dems always block anything to do with DUI's or tougher sentencing. So if you want to say she is pointing her finger at "her own"....then would not be wrong. We've got a long road ahead. So much damage has been done. She shot herself in the foot so to speak when she said during a press conference that the shootings that caused her to act were done by criminals and she said that she knew her order would have zero effect on the criminals carrying weapons and committing crimes. She flat out stated that she was ok with disarming law abiding individuals which means those people would be unable to defend themselves against the criminals she admitted wouldn’t follow her order so she isn’t trying to save lives she’s a tyrant trying to obtain as much control as possible nothing more
