Everything about this unit used to be common on Czech ambulances. More details below 🔽 Seen here is an Olomouc Military Hospital (Vojenská Nemocnice Olomouc) ambulance responding with lights and sirens. This vehicle was a former Olomouc Region EMS ambulance and still has the good old graphics package. The new owner just changed the lettering on the orange stripes.
VEHICLE TYPE
The vehicle is a Volkswagen Transporter/ T5 type 2 (van based) ambulance which used to be the standard in the Czech Republic. 15 years ago almost every EMS in the country used these vehicles. SIREN & LIGHTBAR
Both the FedSig MS4000 siren and the Federal Signal Vama P8000 lightbar used to be common on Czech ambulances and some other medical emergency vehicles. They sure were a cool combo for that time, especially since the speaker is located in the center of the lightbar. This combined with the MS4000 were a really powerful sound combo! Personally I love the sound of the MS4000 in cities, especially with the echo! 🥰
In the end time has changed and the better sounding FedSig sirens have started to disappear in Czechia.
Be advised that my camera didn't pick up all of the strobe lights. Strobes are typically too fast to be picked up properly by cameras.
