There are literally signs everywhere in this resort saying "Please do not feed the coatis/wildlife." Feeding them random human food makes them malnourished (because they're not eating food that is nutritious for them) and aggressive.

So, Coatis are the raccoons of South/Central America. Raccoons are the raccoons of upper North America and Europe. Binturongs are the raccoons of Asia. Genets are the raccoons of Africa. Qoulls are the raccoons of Australia. The raccoons of the world!

We used to feed the coatimundi outside the mess hall in when I was in Panama. It was fun for the short time they were visiting us but they were usually rounded up by vet techs soon after and repatriated back into the jungle - their home.

Every single animal is mean, riight? NO animal ever is "mean" in any way, EXCEPT HUMANS! So humans should really stop saying "this animal is mean/bad/cruel" when THEY themselves are the only animal capable of *consciously* harming innocent beings just for f*cking sadistic "fun".
