QOTD: for me, if they had all the vitamins required for my kids, it’d be superworms, easily available, easy to keep/breed, they don’t make noise. I’d love to try live dubias but I’m in Canada. So packaged dubias only, and my kids aren’t so sure of them

Wow, the feeding response of Sabzi! Ok, E.T. getting his silkworm was so adorable. He worked hard for it 😂 Sappy, I feel you, I have to run away with my treats too so my kid doesn’t try to steal them! 💕💕 Good job Tiki! 💕💕 Wow, Do the twins look so different just because they aren’t both fired up?? So interesting! To answer today’s question (even though I haven’t tried them yet), I will go out on a limb and say black soldier fly larva. As much as I love Dubia roaches, I do not love that they go and hide and are too smart and hold still for too long. I would be afraid to just drop them in a terrarium that is bio active, then have adults emerge. Thanks for the shoutout! 💕

Random thought, I think it’s important to appreciate your animals for what they are and do, I got frustrated that they wouldn’t do what I was wanting or expecting at one point, but then realized this, you’re not there to control their behaviours, but to enjoy them for what they are and already do. Like, my cat doesn’t leave me alone, I call her Velcro cat, after getting frustrated that she always wants to lay on and be with me, I realized my gratitude to have such a loving cat, that she won’t run far if she gets out etc. (Unrelated to your video Dayyan, but It had an impact on me and the care of my animals) So don’t get frustrated too quickly if your animal isn’t behaving they way you want, keep trying in training, or let them be themselves and appreciate them for what they are. (Tokays..sigh, lol)

That little turtle and his eyes!!! OMG, that is soooo funny and cute! Totally gave me the giggles. :) I'm a wide variety feeder fan, rather than having a fav. The more options, the better to mimic their natural diet and the more feeding behaviors we get to see as they tackle the different items. I love your training technique. Very patient but always getting a little something from them.

Great video as always! Sabzi should be called Sabzi the Annihilator 😆 I really need to try silkworms with my bunch...although I'd really only feed to my crested/chahoua and tokay geckos. My pink tongue skink is picky and doesn't like bugs. For the QOTD I think I pick dubia roaches. I despise crickets and mealworms seem to turn to larvae and beetles too quickly (and I'm not interested in breeding feeders myself). BSFL aren't too bad either...my crested/chahoua gecko doesn't like them but I haven't tried them with my tokay...he (or she...I don't know the sex yet) likes bugs that move do I anticipate BSFL not being a good feeder in this case.

I like using crickets as feeders because I can throw a pile in the vivarium and they'll "co-hab" as their numbers dwindle. Plus, being more active, my crestie Smaug has to actually chase them down, and gets a little more exercise.
