Who's gonna tackle making a safety boot first? All the barefoot companies are scared of doing it. Lots of people spend minimum 8 hours a day, 5 days a week being forced to wear safety boots/shoes at work and literally have no zero drop option. It's impossible to transition without them.

Because a safety boot is never going to give you the barefoot feel. If their focus is on making barefoot shoes, that means that their products need to be lightweight (not doable if you have to reinforce the tip of the boot with metal), with a wide toe box (this actually seems doable) and with a sole thin enough that you can feel what you’re walking on (which is clearly a problem for safety boots since they need to be extremely resistant to puncturing as well). Maybe you can find a minimalist safety boot, but I highly doubt you’ll find a barefoot safety boot

This. I also need something that is ESD rated for high electrical component handling. But I believe it's impossible to do so due to the high expectations of a safety shoe.

Thank you for the review and your honest feedback! The reshaping of the sole is something that we're working on. This is simply a long and expensive process, but we're on it ;) Thanks again and enjoy your Feelgrounds! ☀️ Raphael

Have you reshaped the toebox? I really like the style of the high tops feelgrounds, the best I've seen. But I can't wear something with a curved toebox.

I love barefoot shoes. I began wearing them almost a year ago. I just ordered another pair. All my foot wear will be only minimalist barefoot shoes by early winter. Nothing else. They actually positively affect my mood! That said, I think a lot of the makers are charging way to much for their shoes! The only pair I have now, I have worn just about a week short of a year! Worn almost daily, and I have hiked in them year round. Even shovel snow in them! They probably have at least a few more months left in them. They are the most inexpensive barefoot shoes on the market! They are for sale now in the low forty dollar range! I paid roughly 38.00 last July when I ordered them, and they are great! So these other companies that are selling their shoes for four to five times that are price gouging!!!! Especially on their less expensive shoes. Some companies are selling their upper end leather boots for more fair prices I believe. Do your own research. There are quite a few makers of barefoot shoes now. So look them all over, and see which ones you think would work best for your feet. Give them a chance. They are a lot different than other more common shoes! Even myself, who have been barefoot walking hiking trails, therapeutically, for over twenty years, took a few weeks to be completely won over.

Interesting that you liked the soles as other reviewers absolutely 'hated' these shoes because the sole wore out so quickly and they were so slippery they couldn't wear them on rainy days.
@barefootstrength

Thanks for reaching out. I will definitely keep the feedback in mind. I live in a very dry region so haven’t really experienced the slippery issue. Furthermore, the softness of the Feelgrounds soles is what gives them so much ground feel. I don’t wear Feelgrounds every day, nor do I run in them so sole durability hasn’t been an issue for me at all. However, I could see the soles wearing out if I wore them constantly. So, I guess context is always needed in these discussions.

Hello and thanks for video. I love the look of the knitted high feelgrounds shoes but I read from the reviews on their site that some people say that it's hard to get into them and also that they wear out quickly and have a problem of longevity. What is your experience with them in those aspects?

For keeping your shoes smelling fresh, maybe you could try wearing merino wool socks (which are very anti-microbial and keep the stench away).

@barefootstrength
3 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for your comment. I wore Feiyues for about 1.5 years... they were one of my first barefoot style shoes. My feedback on Feiyues is that while they are a massive improvement to regular footwear in many ways, they do still have too narrow of a toe box. Once you spend enough time in a proper barefoot shoe, with a wide enough toe box, wearing feiyues will start to feel like you're putting on a size XS shirt on a M body... One starts to notice the restriction.
