When we resist or reject negative thoughts, we give them power and allow them to control our emotions and sometimes actions. However, by accepting them and allowing them to counterbalance the positive thoughts, we can maintain a sense of equilibrium within ourself by choosing to remain detached.
Remember that spiritual growth does not mean it will eliminate negative thoughts altogether. It is about developing the awareness and understanding to navigate through them with grace and compassion. By recognizing that you are separate from your mind, we can observe our thoughts without becoming attached to them.
